I don’t think we ever saw Beaver’s two female antagonists together in a LITB episode. Apparently, Jeri Weil, who portrayed the self-centered Judy Hensler was blossoming very early into young womanhood and was replaced by Karen Sue Trent, who portrayed Penny Woods, an equally self-centered young girl.

Yet, I’ve often wondered what would have happened if these two forceful and opinionated young girls had had to interact with one another on a daily basis in Miss Landers’s grade school class? Would their exchanges have been like the pointed repartee that might have taken place between a very young Hillary Rodham Clinton and a very young Sarah Palin in grade school?

Would Miss Landers have had her hands full, trying to maintain order in her class with these two driven, future female corporate executives or members of Congress?

And, would Beaver, Larry, Whitey, Richard, and the rest of the boys in Miss Landers’s class just have ducked down low in their seats, hoping not to get caught in the rapid crossfire between Judy “The Harridan” Hensler and Penny “The Ninja Warrior” Woods?

Alas, what might have transpired in that grade school classroom.
