L&S was a top 5 show the first 3 seasons and after looking at the shows they went up against looks like the show may have never faced competition. The 1st season the show went up against Popi at 830pm which was always at the bottom of the ratings.

Season 2 L&S went up against Tony orlando and Dawn in Fall of 76 which never was a top rated show

Then in 2nd season of 76-77 it went up against Baa Baa Black Sheep on NBC

Season 3 the competition was the Fitzpatricks on CBS

The 2nd season of 77-78....Celebrrity Challenge on CBS, and NBC chuck Barris


So it wasnt until fall of 78 when it was moved to Thursdays to compete with the waltons and the ratings fell way below 20.
