"Crutch" is Officially Done at Paramount+ after 1 Season Amid Programming Shift

To the surprise of noone, there will be no second season of Paramount+‘s multi-camera comedy series "Crutch" starring Tracy Morgan.
This is not new development. The eight-episode first season, which was taped in front of a live audience in fall 2024, was released on the streamer Nov. 3, 2025. The options on the cast expired at the end of last year, effectively ending the show.
The fate of "The Neighborhood" spin-off was sealed following Skydance’s acquisition of Paramount+ and CBS Studios parent Paramount.
Days after the deal closed, Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct-to-Consumer who oversees Paramount+, spoke about the programming priorities for the streamer, admitting that multi-camera comedies won’t be a focus because CBS is “fantastic” in the genre and has all of the network’s sitcoms are available on Paramount+ next day.
