The Detroit Lions. For some reason, I always root for the Lions on Thanksgiving. The same can't be said for the Cowboys.

I always use to cheer for detriot on thanksgiving, but knowing my luck, the year I dont want them to win, they will:(

I'm curious as to why everyone wants the Lions to win? I don't know the first thing about football, so I'm serious with this question.
Of course, my team, The Patriots are playing the Lions on Thanksgiving, which is why I'm so interested in why everyone roots for the Lions, even if they're not from Detroit.

I usually root for Detriot cuz their uniforms are very nice looking, but, today I rooted for the PATS!!!!! and they won!!!:)

It would have been nice to see the PATS lose since they purchased the Super Bowl last year. I'm glad Washington lost.

I believe they bought the title. How does a team go from losing to the raiders in a snow storm to beating the rams in the superbowl? that will always be the biggest upset in sports history. I know for a fact the PATS will not be back in the superbowl this season.

Hey genius, the Pats BEAT the Raiders in the snow game. The biggest upset in sports history was when the Jets beat Baltimore when they were 17 1/2 point underdogs in the Superbowl in the late 60s.
As for the Pats returning to the Superbowl this year, who cares? The players have their championship rings, and we'll get there again. The Pats are in 2nd place in their division, a half game out. Tom Brady is a winning quarterback.

At least the Patriots made it to the Superbowl 3 times which is more than you can say about your Eagles who made it only once and lost more than 20 years ago to the Raiders. By the way, the quarterback for the Raiders that year was a former Patriot, Jim Plunkett. :lol:

Well i'm not a eagles fan. just a fan of the sport itself. I watch games to see what teams has talent and what teams lack talent. As of now, i would say the hot teams in the league is the raiders, colts, and falcons.

Well most people will always believe the Rams beat theirself in the superbowl.

I was rooting for the Lions yesterday at the game and I never knew I could have so much fun at a loss. It was the turnovers that killed us, without them we could have easily won. We held New England to just a field goal the whole second half and I was proud of that. I always find something good in my boys. :lol: That's the sign of a true fan who never gives up.

Oh, and to the NE fans, Tom Brady got such a big cheer yesterday when they announced him at the game, thought you would like to know.
