I had to post a new Hubba Hubba place because of seeing Freddie playing the role of Chico again. When I saw him in episode 3 with the burgundy shirt and the jeans with the belt my mouth was just drooling..... He had a gorgeous body. I love his weight on these beginning episodes he looked so healthy. Drool, Drool, Drool.......... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I concur! He is gorgeous! These early episodes show him at his ideal weight. Also it is great to see him so happy and healthy. It is clear, that he was enjoying himself. He and Jack Albertson were a magical combination.

I agree that he looked to be his ideal weight during the first season-he looked SO fine! One thing I don't understand is why he thought he was fat as a kid. I've seen several pictures of young Freddie and he doesn't look fat in them at all! Stocky, maybe, but not fat!!! I think he was always a little too critical of himself.

I looked at his pictures too. My oldest son looked exactly as big as Freddie in grade school too. My son was traumatized in school. My son still does not forget the names he was called. Some children know how to defend themself. I believe Freddie (like my son) was too sensitive and it was difficult for him to defend himself.

DeDe-- I never got the chance to talk to you personally about Freddie. I am glad you are reading this board again. All I can say to you based on what I have read before you felt you had to delete your comments is YOU GO GIRL!!! I would have given anything to be in your shoes. I hope one day you will want to share with us again. I am only on this message board on the weekends so I may have missed a lot. Anyway, back to the topic, I think those beginning episodes shows us a HOT Freddie. His weight and body were just perfect. And to use one of his famous quotes, he was LOOOOKING GOOOOD!! I couln't resist.

Karen Karen, How are you? I miss you too. From what tracy has been showing me, girl, you have a "Nut" name "Mabel" (LOL) running around trying to take chico from Liz, Anita, and the nurse.(LOL)

HI Vicki, nice to meet you also, and thank you. All you have to do is come to California and we will go star hunting(smile)I will make sure when your return home, you will be able to say you did meet at least one star. The Hollywood annual Christmas Parade is the perfect way and time.

Take care

Thank you DeDe. I would love to hook up with you. I was in Southern California almost 5 years ago (1996). It was my 35th birthday present to myself. I hope to get back there someday. You live in a beautiful state!! Oh, by the way, my boyfriend and I got to visit the Drew Carey set. We saw Drew, but he ain't no Freddie. Ya know what I mean!!

DeDe

Oh yes, DeDe please please. I would like to talk with you and ask you about Freddie. I love chating with people who really knew him. My e-mail address is kind of complicated, and Cheryl Harrell and I have been talking to each other---so she has it. I certainly don't mind giving it out on the message board, but I am afraid I will tell you wrong. I hope I don't sound like a moron DeDe, but it is my work e-mail, and it is kind of long. I will post a message for Cheryl to give to you...OK...

Did anyone notice in episode 36 when Ed and Chico invent the training wheels for a motorcycle. Ed comes back later on pretending to be someone who wants to buy the invention and he has a large stick and
hits Chico in the "!!!!" Chico moves away as though it embarrassed him! (so cute!)
I hope it didn't hurt him! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif

Hey I've just gotten the time to sit down and watch my CATM tapes. If you can believe this, I haven't had the time in 3 weeks!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
Between school and writing the "Salvation" story, I've been so busy. I got out of school at noon today for the summer (Yea! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif)and the first thing I did was resurrect my tapes from the cabinet where my girls had hidden them from me! LOL I found I have a new favorite outfit for Chico. In episode 3 where Ed is not speaking to his friend, I think his name was Manuel, Chico is trying to get them to have a meal together. He is wearing a red shirt unbuttoned half way down and a pair of tight blue pants. I am telling you I had to rewind and watch that part several times! God, was he a Babe! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hey JennyLee, I figured someone had. LOL http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

That burgundy shirt outfit was HOT!!!! When watching a CATM with my hubby where Chico was wearing that, I told my hubby I'd love to get him an outfit like that... LOOOKING GOOD!

I also noticed in some pics of our Prinze that he actually looks older than age 19-22. He looks so mature for his age.

I just realized the show first came on 27 yrs ago & it took that long fro Freddie to worm his way into my heart & charm me. Freddie I apologize for not getting into you when I watched CATM in the 70's but I guess I was too busy laughing at the comedy. Amazing how you can like something but don;t go all fired nutty about it & then 27 yrs later, you re-discover it & go crazy over it & get obsessed. LOL!

MariposaLKB

I have also noticed how much older than his real age Freddie started looking just a few episodes into the show. I have heard that he had to wear dark makeup to make him look more Mexican, and I wonder if it highlighted the creases in his face--though I am not sure he would have had any. Maybe later on he got a tan to avoid the makeup and that aged his skin. And ultimately it may have been due to his drug use.

I think there was also something about the way he carried himself--he seemed to have such self-confidence and be so wise about life. It's a shame he was evidently using that facade to cover up so much pain!!!

I got my hubby to watch some CATM epsiodes with me tonite well it was probably last nite into tonite... & He looked so good in that burgundy shirt & the bellbottom jeans. & He walks sooo sexy in those jeans. It was a total turn on. I mean he was sooo hot. My hubby didn't mind me ooohing & ahhing... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Now I want to get my hubby a burgundy shirt & bellbottom jeans like that. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif A hot Hunga-rican! Woo Baby! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Slap me across the face cuz I need to cool down. ROTFL! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Being around you good folks has rubbed off on me. When I first got into CATM/Freddie, it was like well I don't drool at my age I & just think the stars are sooo cute & good to look at. Then I eventually realized I drool more than I'd admit to. It's your fault Freddie! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I fell asleep earlier tonite & had a dream about Freddie. People were writing on thesed boards posting some really cute pics of Freddie. 1 was of him in a Members Only type Jacket. 1 was of him in a 3 peice suit, 1 was of him in a suit sitting in a limo & there was a really hot one of him in a suit & someone had posted a pic of Louies Garbage truck on here. I was looking a one of the hot pics of Freddie in a suit & then I woke up thinking Darn I didn't want the dream to end...

I just was reading Arlo's message boards & found out that while I was dreaming about Freddie, Arlo was in his chat room & I missed it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Alot of times when he's in his chat room I miss it. Sigh... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I did find out some better news tho. Mike went to the monthly mens meeting at the church we go to. He hitched a ride with the preacher since he can't drive due to his diabetes making him legally blind & if I took him, I'd have nowhere to go while the meeting is on... Anyway the preacher lives not too far from us so it's not too far outta his way. Mike was talking to him about CATM. & Guess what the preacher (He's a yr younger than me) likes CATM & Freddie & watched the show in the 70's... Amazing who likes the show... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
