Iv'e been a fan to the show since last year. I never really was interested in the show when I was a kid, but now that I'm 20, I like shows that were from the 80's, even if they had all adults on them and no kids.
I see mostly the syndicated episodes. The first 3 years hardly have been seen by me, but I can say that the series finale was worked into the show very well.
Iola played her character nicely. In fact, the first line on the show's last episode, which is hers is her classic "Knock, Knock".
It was very much like Vint to smash the truck. I was thinking it wouldnt start, but he smashed it. (Since on the episode guide I only remembered seeing Bubba makes the swim team and mama delivers the baby herself).
The flashbacks of Mama and her birth deliverances were really not neccessay, since it would be the last time we would see everyone together.
I liked how they ended the show (To me, and I dont knwo about other fans: "Vint is a MAMA'S BOY, who couldnt leave her, lived with her, and still is living with her after they bought the trailer).
It can be assumed that if the show has or will ever return in a reunion that they woould all still be living together this very day. Maybe even Iola as well would move in after explaining she was lonely after Mother and Father died....LOL!!!
But the show had a proper send-off, unlike mamy good shows I loved which never had a proper last episode, since they were cancelled shorty after the season finale aired...which is what happened to most shows in the 80's
example: Diffrent Strokes, Gimme A Break, Silver Spoons....Another good example would Be the Brady Bunch, which had the most horribe last episode.
