Had a shocking wakeup call about being old today. I overheard an old lady telling a young person that Lassie was a horse. This young person was not a child, but at least in her twenties. She had never heard of Lassie and was actually going to look for a movie about a horse named Lassie! I had to call her aside and explain that Lassie was a dog. I described the first movie and several others and explained Lassie also had a long-running TV series. What the hell are they teaching kids these days? Do they not even know about reruns!?!

Did they also think Mr. Ed was a dog?
