Hi, I'm not too sure how to put this, but, here goes; Does anyone remember when Hugh O'Conner shot himself back in 95? I have to be honest, when I first heard about it, the first thing I did think about Freddie Sr. The whole thing is just to much like what happened to Freddie. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I was just wondering if anyone has any feelings on this matter. I hope you guys don't think this is a dumb post. Thank you for your time!!

Is Hugh O'Connor Carol O'Connor's son?

Yes, Hugh was Carroll O'Conner's son. He starred in "In The Heat Of The Night" with his father, Hugh was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. O'Conner.

Hey ChicoFan4ever, It is for sure a sad and hurting situation regarding Freddie and Hugh.
Mr. O'Conner did sue the drug dealer that supplied the drugs to Hugh. Whenever Mr. O'Conner is on TV you can see the pain in his eyes.

yes I used to watch ITHOTN too I guess Hugh Battled Cancer at the age of 16 but some of the meds he took for pain got him addicted.
It kind of makes it extra sad to think how he must have suffered with cancer, to go through all that and to be beaten by an addiction. He also left a wife Angela, and a son Sean Angela and Hugh were not divorced or seperated at the time of Hugh's death.
I believe his wife and son live with the O'connor's now.

Oh yeah i remember that but i didnt even know there was a Freddie Prinze back then. Tracy i agree whenever you see him now you can see the pain in his eyes.
