What do you think she would look like? Full of tattoos?

Same type of job?

Maybe after Wally stopped seeing her, she decided that if she cleaned up her act, she could keep a guy like Wally. She would have to stop dancing with other men, of course, but...

Was community college a thing back then? What type of upward-mobility jobs could she get without an education?

Actually, as Wally is leaving Hank's Place, there's a scene that didn't make the final cut:

(Marlene calls Wally back to the table)

Marlene: Hey, I was thinking about your friend who I suggested could go watch the bunny rabbit cartoon. You know, the skinny guy--what's his name again?

Wally: Eddie Haskell.

Marlene: Do you have his number, sweet cheeks?

Wally: KL5 - 8328. Give him a call.

Marlene: I suppose he's still in school, too.

Wally: Yeah, he is. He quit for about a week a year ago.

Marlene: Well I don't know why the fool went back, but I'll give him a call anyway.

Didn't Gilbert refer to Marlene as a "A Women of the World" and she's drinking beer & smoking cigarettes !

Look at Wally's eyes and mouth in the third picture. Pure terror.

He doesn't look too happy in the second picture, either.

Eddie Haskell would have taken her directly to Lovers Lane !

Regarding tattoos, mentioned by the OP: probably 'yes,' to a degree, for Marlene:

I would say that of late, as many as 75% of the adult women under 50 or so that I see in stores and elsewhere have one or more visible tattoos (of course, less clothing coverage in hot weather), and often multiple ones or large coverage of an arm(s). There are tattooing and piercing places all over the city. It seems to have grown in popularity exponentially over the past decade.

I do live in a very urban area though, so suburbs or rural likely would be significantly less common.

As is the case with many adults and young people who appeared on the show, Diane Sayer, who played Marlene, is no longer with us. She died at age 63 in 2001.

There really are only a few left who are still with us:

Jerry Mathers (Beaver) (now 78)
Robert "Rusty" Stevens (Larry)
Steve Talbot (Gilbert)
Jeri Weil (Judy)
Lucas "Tiger" Fafara (Tooey)
Tim Matthieson (later changed to Matheson) (Mike)
(possibly) Karen Sue Trent (Penny)
Kim Charney (Terry)
Mimi Gibson (Mary)
Pamela Beaird/Baird (Mary Ellen)

Could you imagine Julie Foster and/or Mary Ellen Rogers, showing up at Mayfield High, wearing a ring in their respective noses and sporting an Elvis Presley tattoo, placed somewhere conspicuously on their bodies?

PS I wonder if Marlene Holmes’s name and phone number were prominently placed on the wall of the men’s rest room at Mayfield High?

"For a good time call MH at KL5-8328." Stall #2.

Lumpy would wear a Capt. Kangaroo button.
