I was just over at the General board and we were talking about stars who don't like to be reminded of their sitcom past (example Tina Louise on Gilligan's Island). I was wondering if Jack Burns doesn't like to be reminded of his TAGS days. From what I've read from TAGS books and such, it sounds like Jack was booted from the show. I was just wondering if he still hates talking about his TAGS days because he was booted, or does he talk fondly of the episodes he was on? Thanks for any and all replies.

I always wondered what happened to Jack. Why would they boot him?

I guess he wasn't popular enough. People had the image of Don Knotts as the deputy and I don't suppose they accepted Jack as another deputy. Barney Fife will always be Andy Taylor's deputy and then they shove this green blood in front of the camera and that is so wrong. Yep, Barney is Andy's only deputy. People were prob. saying stuff like that. If you want my opinion, I liked the Warren character. No, he wasn't Don or Barney but he did have some funny parts. I don't think they really gave him a chance to develop the character.
Hey, does he have a book out? Anybody know? I bet if the terms he left on was really disagreeable, he prob. wrote about it.

Love him or hate him, the Warren Ferguson character was a logical addition, since a small town sheriff needs a deputy.
Andy probably could have sworn in someone like Goober or a reformed, sober Otis for a more acceptable deputy.
