Does anyone here remember a coupe of years back someone wanted to make a big screen version of "Sanford and Son" with Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Rock as Fred and Lamont? (To his credit, Chris Rock refused, saying that to do this would be disrepectful to Redd Foxx's memory.)

Having written the above sentence, some of you will take what I'm about to suggest next as sacrellige, but here goes: "If you had the opportunity to remake "Sanford and Son", who would you cast, and why?"

Yeah, I remember hearing rumors about that. Imo, I don't think it could be recast and so I'm glad Chris did refuse that offer. Most people prob. would've done it anyway.
