"Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Supergirl!" Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, first live-action appearance was in the 1984 movie 'Supergirl', played by Helen Slater. The character would go on to be played by Laura Vandervoort in the series 'Smallville', before getting her own series in 2015 and being portrayed by Melissa Benoist. The Kryptonian character would return in 2023's 'The Flash' and was played by Sasha Calle. Now, the character returns to the big screen once again in DC Studio's 'Supergirl', which stars Milly Alcock as the title character and opens in theaters on June 26th. In honor of the film, Moviefone is counting down every live-action appearance of Supergirl, including films and television series. NOTE: For this list we are not including cameos, so Alcock's appearances in 'Superman' and 'Peacemaker' season 2 or Benoist's appearances on other Arrowverse shows will not count. Let's begin!
