View Full Version : Happy Leon Day
>>>Leon Day takes place on June 25, marking exactly six months until Christmas Day. The name is “Noel” spelled backwards, a quiet nod to the holiday that sits on the opposite side of the calendar. The day has become a quirky favorite among Christmas enthusiasts, who use it as an excuse to plan ahead, listen to carols in summer, or simply count down to December.<<<

Leon from The Andy Griffith Show. I think he was played by Clint Howard. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks. I never watched Andy Griffith but I do have an awareness of who Clint Howard is. He obviously got the part via nepotism.

Bonniegirl 06-25-2026, 11:47 PM Besides Leon Day, it is Michael Lembeck's birthday. :)
Also the ideal day Andrew Woodhouse ( Rosemary's baby ) was expected to be born on. Satan's Son/ opposite of Jesus's birthday. But due to Rosemary's monthly cycle the closest they could come to June 25 was June 28!

I shall follow your advice and skip the color seasons. I shall also follow my own advice and skip the black and white seasons too.

Really? I doubt it would have lasted too long. IMO Leon wasn't funny enough or interesting enough to pull a whole show . He would have to have some really good co stars for it to work. Of course this is just my opinion. ;)
A state in Mexico. I just learnt about it during the World Cup game in Monterrey. (I suck at geography)

biffbronson 06-30-2026, 06:58 AM My geography is terrible. Had very little in school, "social studies" instead. When we did once get a geography lesson, it was about "what is an archipelago, what is an isthmus..." instead of learning about countries, seas, etc.
My closest friend is named Leon, short for Leonidas.
Wow, started less than a month ago and already a chit chat classic.
stevea 07-18-2026, 12:57 PM It's classic, but maybe it has potential for a few more jokes. So here it is, back in regular Chit Chat.
Right now I really wish I could think of another Leon.
