I have a friend who lives in America and is taping some stuff off of TV over there and has sent me the tapes to me as I live in the UK.
Is this legal to do this?

View Full Version : can someone answer me this question please? peter may 11-25-2002, 06:50 PM I have a friend who lives in America and is taping some stuff off of TV over there and has sent me the tapes to me as I live in the UK. What's illegal is someone recording a bunch of GG episodes and selling them on ebay for HUGE amounts of money. Sam You're right! peter may 11-26-2002, 09:14 AM No it all worked out great, the tapes arrived today, and the person whos taping them is very honest and a great guy:) DorSopBlanRos 11-27-2002, 11:19 PM Actually your not gonna get in trouble or anything but it actully is illegal to tape anything off TV even though everyone does it. Frasier W. Crane 12-03-2002, 11:57 PM Correction: Its illegal to SELL anything you tape. You can tape for your own pleasure and personal use, but SELLING tapes is illegal. You can give them to someone, as long as you are not asking for money :) |
