I used to sound British because I spent years like, 1-3 everyday with my grandmother from England. She used to babysit me. But then when I started going to school and becoming 'Americanized' as my family puts it, it wore off.

Now I have an MA accent with a little hint of a Bostonian accent

Well I'm from Michigan and I always thought I talked normal (I guess that would be a midwestern accent) but once when we were in Florida at a resturant the waitress asked if we were from the north because of our accents. That's the only time anyone has told me that I had an accent.

Well, I probably have one of the stupidest and most ****ed up sounding accents.....see, for some reason, about a year ago, I thought it'd be SUPER ****in awesome if I had a slight southern drawl, right? Ya so uh....I sorta.....had....a...FAKE sounthern accent (ya! I'm cool and i know it!!!......) Ya, and then....I thought it'd be cool to have a Canadian accent, so uh..ya...I faked that too.... And once you fake accents for a while, they sorta stick, so uh I had this FAKE southern/canadian accent...THEN (****, why can't I ever just stop?), I was really into this Russian accent thing, sooo.....right now, I just sound like a big *******. Actually, the other day, my friend was like "****, you sound so ****ing stupid, and ur accent SO fake, I don't even know what the hell ur going for...". Now, just b/c I wasn't satisfied with my queer, Western PA, hick, sounding talk, I'm always (or at least for a while) going to have an ****nig STUPID, poser, FAKE southern/canadian/really badly fake Russian accent...I'm such an *******...Plus, I sound like a man.

I'm like Adele... I have a deep voice to begin with, then I say certain words with either a : New Jersey, New York City, Boston, British, or Southern accent-ish thingie. Like I say "ohwwwl" for all and "gawd" for God and "pajamers" for pajamas and "soder" for soda but I say "y'all" and I pronouce things very literally, almost British like. It's WEIRD.

Hell I know people who pronounce Georgia "Jawjuh." And I live in Colorado! We don't really have that bad of an accent cause Denver's just like another regular big city and our town is like 20% locals and 80% out-of-staters who just moved here. It's not that great of a town and it's beyond me why people insist to move here. It's like if you were Brazilian and you moved to Gobi Desert! Below freezing temperatures but wihout snow! Is that even possible anywhere else?!?!?

californians have the most ****ed up accent ever. There's no substance to what they say. its so normal. Cahfee. Dahg. Wahk.

"Cawfee" "Dowg" "Wawk" Yeah. I dont talk right. my friend is from PA and she thinks i talk a little weird. to say "Are you going down the shore" it somes out "Goin downa shore?" and Did you "Djoo" and for some words the R is dropped "Yestaday" "Anothe Time" and some its over prounounced "Arrkansaw" "Spirrit" and others its only there soemtimes. Like Ever. If its followed by a vowel its Ever, but otherwise its Eva. So its comes out:

"Ya think yerr eva gonna feed the dowg?"

its weird. you just talk to someone and they can tell where ur from. Oh yeah and Oregon. We pronoune it OreGONE. Supposidly its Origin, but noone says it like that!

i dunno...im from around philly so i have a little of what my friend calls "that abrasive philly thing" (shes from TX and thinks everyone around here sounds harsh) My friend who went out to Washington state from here got told he sounded british because he enunciated more. And the area im from is where katherine hepburn went to school and a whole lot of people talk like her- so add a little of that in too. Dont forget I spend every summer in southern maine and have picked up a little of that accent. And spend a lot of time trying to teach myself to talk like various people... my accent is just weird i guess.

I've been told I have an Indiana accent even though I live in WI. To quote my friend, Stacie... "You're all Hoosierish!"

Also, I occasionally have a bit of an NYC/Adam Sandler accent cuz I was doing it on purpose for a while and then it stuck. (Example: "Pahty poopa.") Only occasionally, though. It's kinda funny when it happens cuz I don't even realize it then my friends point it out an laugh at me.

I have a slight southern accent. I really don't have an accent but when I say certain words, I seem to have one. Examples: I say "yall" and instead of saying something like "What are you guys doing?" I say something like "Whuduh yall doing'" See what I mean? It's southern, but not like "Gone with the wind" southern.

i guess i have an indiana/midwest accent.. i dont really kno.

Believe me, there is an Indiana accent! Not so much an accent as that certain words or phrases are pronounced just a little differntly. I have a midwest accent too. I'm from Michigan. Even Northern Michigan, specifically the Upper Peninsula, has a definite accent which is Scandinavian (Finnish mainly) . Wisconsin and Minnesota have similar accents. (Norwegian, Swedish inflections)
