Today we discuss the TV show Eerie, Indiana. It is an absolutely fascinating and very unique children's horror show, that had a lot of input and direct work from Gremlins director Joe Dante. The show blends the surreal, comedy, and horror in a way that both children and adults can enjoy. The first episode of the show entitled "Foreverware" I think really proves that point. The episode plays on an old 1950s fad within America, where women would throw tupperware parties. It's very strange to think of parties where women get to brag about their specific pieces of plastic, but is a real thing that happened nonetheless. This episode sees Miles Teller move to a strange town called Eerie Indiana where weird things happen but seemingly no one notices, or they forget. So Miles tries to document the strange events of Eerie, and we get to see that. His first enemy is a mad matriarch named Betty who found this tupperware equivalent called foreverware that makes anything you put in them last forever, and I do mean anything. So join me as we talk about Miles journey through this episode, and in the future I plan on covering more Eerie! What do you guy think of this show? Let me know in the comments below!
