MARTINA MCBRIDE! Because she has the BEST voice in the world in my opinion. She can hold a note longer than anybody, and it will still sound as strong as it did 30 seconds after she hit it the first time. I mean just listen to "Where Would You Be" or "A Broken Wing" or "Independence Day!!" Its soooo hard to sing them on the album version, and when she sang them at the concert I went to she made the songs even harder!! Have you ever heard her sing the star spangled banner? It just makes me do this: :notworthy GOD MARTINA IS THE GREATEST SINGER AND PERSON ON THIS WHOLE EARTH!! AHHHHHHH! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Ok I'm officially having a Martina Spaz attack. :D

Avril Lavigne, I could relate to some of her songs and her lyrics are all from her heart and what she's experienced, so thats cool and every song she has ever made just always impresses me I love her voice. I like Avril, as a person because she says what she feels and she's so confident, SHE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Bonnie Raitt!! Not only is she a talented musician but she is the sweetest person I've ever met. Her music (as one of you said about Avril) comes from her heart. She sings songs about her own experiences and you are moved by her lyrics. She can also kick major ass on stage, by making a concert into party. Still, after all her success, she is sweet to her fans and appreciates them. So she's my favorite.

She's my favorite singer, cuz her songs have awesome, serious, well-thought-out lyrics & awesome rhythm. Her 'Why' song kinda made me sad. (Download the damn song! It's really good, her voice is so great in it! like her voice is in all of her songs....). She can sing high notes, and she knows how to sing 'sexy'. Her and Britney sound REALLY sexy... I have a lot of favorite singers: Bette Midler, Selena, Donna Summer, Shakira and Cher. Each of them have certain qualities that i admire about them and each of them has touched my life in a certain way. But I think the two that I admire most out of my list are Selena and Shakira. I've learned so much from them and from their music. I admire them for what they've accomplished and how they carry themselves as people. even though Selena had already been dead for two years when I started listening to her music, I was so inspired by her life and how she lived it. From Selena, I learned that its okay to look different. I learned that being Hispanic, having dark hair and dark eyes and not being or looking like the "typical American" is beautiful. Selena's music made me realize that its okay that your family speaks a different language and that they come from other countries. As for Shakira, the fact that she does everything when it comes to making music for her fans and performing really makes me appreciate her more. Shakira's music comes from her experiences and inside of her. And the fact that she is courageous enough to share some of her deepest and most personal thoughts and feeling with the world is something that I really admire. I've learned so much about myself from Selena and Shakira. I learned that my culture is a beautiful thing...
