It must be the season of the witch. The teenage witch, that is.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show, the cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch came together in Chicago on June 13.

Melissa Joan Hart, who played the titular witch Sabrina, says that it's “so incredible” that the show has “survived this long.”

“It's still so loved. It's so international. So many people come to me and say it got them through a hard time or they learned English from the show. All these amazing things that you hear that, over time you hear it so much that you have to start to believe that it meant a lot to people. So that's huge,” Hart, 50, shares.

The reunion show brings together cast members Hart, Beth Broderick, Caroline Rhea, Soleil Moon Frye, Nate Richert, Michelle Beaudoin, Jenna Leigh Green, Elisa Donovan and David Lascher.

In the show, Sabrina lives with her wacky Aunt Hilda and stern Aunt Zelda as they teach her all she needs to know about magic and life as a witch. The beloved series ran from 1996 to 2003, with the later seasons showing Sabrina navigate college, friendship and of course, magic.

Broderick, 67, who played Sabrina's Aunt Zelda, reflected on the anniversary, sharing that “it's quite amazing” to reflect on the show's impact.

“When we were doing the show, we knew that we were onto something. We knew that we were going to be a hit. You could just feel it. But nobody expects to be valid and a hit for 30 years. Of course, we're still on pretty much every day in every country in the world.”

That, she says, “is just not the kind of impact we had anticipated.”

“It's such a joy to be part of it. It's such a joy to have brought that kind of fun and magic into so many people's lives,” Broderick says.

For Richert, who played Sabrina's off-and-on-again love interest Harvey, the reunion means “we get to reminisce with the fans, which is a wild experience.”

“They remember more than we do at this point, which is fun because they'll go, ‘Do you remember when this happened?' And you go, ‘Oh wow. Yeah, that did happen.' So that's my favorite part is just sort of being a fan with the fans now,” Richert, 48, shares.

The cast will continue to go on tour and bring the reunion special to fans across the United States. While there have been a few reunions over the years, they haven't been to this scale.

Hart shares, “there's a lot of us here, and there's a lot more we would love to have here as well, but it got a little insane with how many people we have here, but it's so fun.”

Getting the cast together is “so much love.”

“We're all just excited to bring this to the fans, to celebrate 30 years with the fans, because that's who keeps the show on, keeps watching, and that's what we're really here to do tonight,” Hart shares.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch is available to stream on Hulu.
