IPTV stands for Internet Protocol TV, a format where a group of TV channels is placed together to form a playlist like you would see with songs or videos. A sample playlist might look like this:
US – ANTENNA TV | SD
US – SYFY WEST | HD
US – MTV | HD
US – FXX WEST | HD
US – FX WEST | HD
US – TNT (East) | HD
##### US – NEWS #####
US – HLN | HD
US – AWE | UHD
US – COOKING CHANNEL | HD
US – DISCOVERY LIFE | HD
US – DIY NETWORK | HD
US – FOOD NETWORK | HD
US – FYI | UHD
US – HGTV WEST | HD
US – LIFETIME | HD
US – OXYGEN | UHD
US – POP | HD
The best IPTV playlists are very large, containing at least 1000 different TV channels from different parts of the world, containing different categories (Entertainment, News, Sports, Kids) and listed by the name of the host country (US, UK, CAN, etc.). The one I want to talk to you about is called VEGETA TV. It is 100% completely free and works fine most of the time. The one problem I have is the constant buffering which I also get on other video sites and can't seem to fix. You might have better luck with it. You can find the app on the Google Play Store and you might like it better than most Android Apps. What's different for me is that it also shows up in a version for your web browser. This allows me to play around with it and reset it anytime I like and the site is updated daily which is important when you want to watch live sports from all the different leagues. The homepage for the browser version looks like this:
VEGETA TV PLAYER (http://vegetatv.duckdns.org/)
The page is divided into 3 parts. Each part has their own separate functions.
The left side lets you choose between TV, Movies, and Series. Movies and Series are the latest movies and TV shows which you can watch on demand but they don't give you much to choose from. That leaves TV which is the Live TV category which gives you a whole number of channels that you can watch anytime. The trick is to figure out how to find them. There is a play button in the middle which opens up over 60 servers which contain different playlists from all over the world. The first 3 are of a general nature while the rest are represented by the host country's flag. To find the best US channels, you can scroll down to Server 40, which has a US flag on it. Server 38 has both a US and UK flag but 40 is better and I will show you why. When you choose it, a number of different categories pop up, revealing a long list of channels that show up in the middle of the page. Each channel has a little heart at the end that you can choose as one of your favorites. Each channel that you play appears on the top part of the middle page and the favorites are seen as a list on the right side. You watch the channels on the little screen on the right which can be made larger using the fullscreen button.
Now for the best part. To watch the best channels that everyone seems to love on this website, go to Server 40 and look for "USA ENT HD" on the left side. It will bring up a list of channels in the middle listed in alphabetical order that will include all the goodies: Antenna TV, MeTV, METV Plus (which I couldn't find anywhere else!) and Catchy Comedy (known as Decades). To get MeTV Toons, look under USA KIDS HD and it will be right there. As a bonus, you also get Locals (the 4 major networks), streaming channels like Paramount +, and a few Canadian channels too like CHCH. You can also try the 24/7 playlist which brings up a list of TV series where you can binge watch every episode of that series. All for free. Try it out and see how you like it. Any questions you have you can ask me on this page.
