Fox Corp. is buying streaming platform Roku in a cash-and-stock deal valued at approximately $22 billion.

I heard about this deal from Mom and what I think it will mean and Dad agrees with me on this topic is that current Roku devices and smart TVs that have Roku already installed will expire and Roku owners will have to buy a new Roku device in order to access the new features. But what my dad wants to know is how did Roku get started? Because I never knew the whole history of Roku. But I hope they don't raise prices on some of their channels
