There’s nothing bad about the video, unless you’re a racist. They were mad that a black man was slow-dancing with a white woman in the video. Bigots are horrible people.

I was seven years old when the video was released. I remember it receiving heavy airplay on MTV at the time, and, like you, I didn’t see anything wrong with it. Still don’t, but back when I was innocent and naïve, the idea that anyone could take issue with it didn’t even cross my mind. It was just a guy and a girl dancing near a jukebox.
