I thought I'd never lose my car keys because I always keep them in the same place, on top of my wallet. However, one morning last month, neither was in its place and I practically went into a panic.
After several minutes, I discovered I'd put them in a deep kitchen drawer where I keep my bread, when I came in late the night before... :crazy:

I don’t know what a “marked idiot” is, but I do know that psychiatrists spend 8-10 years in postgraduate school before they can become fully licensed. I know from personal experience that they’re not idiots.

In any case, 9-8-8 is the national suicide hotline. Please call them in an emergency. Telling laypersons on a message board that you’re thinking of ending your own life only puts undue burden and stress on us. I can’t speak for everyone else here, but literally talking someone down from a ledge is beyond my scope of understanding.

Still waiting to hear back on this, Dude111. Will you explicitly commit to calling a professional crisis line — like 9-8-8 — when you’re having these thoughts, instead of dumping a crisis onto a sitcom message board where nobody’s equipped to handle it? Dragging an online community into a heavy burden they aren’t trained for isn’t fair to anyone, you included.
