After two live-action movies based on Inspector Gadget were released over two decades ago, Disney will be taking another crack at the iconic franchise with another reboot in the works. A casting update has just been revealed about the long-gestating project, with a comedy star reportedly eyed to be the next actor to take on the mantle.
According to a new report by movie scooper Daniel Richtman, Will Ferrell (Saturday Night Live, Step Brothers) is in talks to play Inspector Gadget in an all-new feature film. It's also claimed that Sean Anders (Daddy's Home) is attached to direct the reboot.
