In this video, I’m looking at Lane’s arc through what she actually wanted: music, love, family, freedom from hiding, and a version of Mrs. Kim who could finally accept her as she was. I still think Lane deserved more time, more room, and more story, but I don’t think her life was as tragic as it’s often made out to be.

Maybe Lane’s ending wasn’t perfect. Maybe it was just quieter than we expected.
