"I'm So Sleepy I Need A Nap"
"snoring sound effect"
Following the success of the Tickle Me Elmo craze in 1999 another Sesame Street toy would become a most wanted Christmas toy in 2000. That toy would be known as Sing And Snore Ernie and I cannot figure out how in the world this Sesame Street toy became so popular during Holiday 2000? But you could tell how popular this Sesame Street toy would become because when I first saw Sing And Snore Ernie in Target and you pressed Ernie's hand and he would say the opening lines of this thread. But for some reason why Sesame Street sell big during Christmas is a mystery but I remember when every store was sold out of these Sing And Snore Ernies and I could never figure out what made this toy popular for some reason? I guess Sesame Street was trying to make Ernie more popular than Elmo in my eyes

I remember the Elmo craze in 1996 not 1999. As a 16 year old, I didn’t get why it was popular even among adults supposedly. I even remember Jay Leno around that time in a segment claiming he wanted it for XMas.

I have never even solved the mystery of why Sesame Street toys seem to sell big every holiday season but for some unknown reason Sesame Street toys get very hyped every year and that's why they sell out. I remember when Sing And Snore Ernie was huge my mother went into Toys "R" Us and they only had two Sing And Snore Ernies on the shelves and the boxes were ripped and open. But I couldn't figure out what made Sing And Snore Ernie such a hit and even Mom couldn't figure it out either
