Tony Soprano kills many people throughout The Sopranos. But one murder truly matters above all the others, and that's his first kill, Willie Overall ("The bookie, Labor Day 1982"). In this video, I'll explain why. I'd love to hear from you with your opinions and takeaways!

00:00 Introduction
00:10 The feds have been doing some digging...
00:39 Young Tony Soprano made his bones with Willie Overall in Labor Day 1982. Paulie was there with him.
00:50 "Soldiers kill other soldiers." Really?
01:17 When I think of soldiers, I don't think of Willie Overall.
01:47 Paulie says it's been 25 years, but Tony reminds him there could be bones and teeth. And speaking of TEETH!
03:28 Tony worried that his dad, Johnny Boy, didn't believe in him. But Paulie assures him he did because "he trusted you enough to give you the Willie Overall thing."
04:11 The discovery of Willie Overall's body was this major alarm for Tony and it took him back to that early trauma and led to his doubling down on paranoia and violence.
04:47 Even after Tony learns Larry Barese told the feds it was Jackie Aprile, Sr., Tony only became more suspicious and worried about when the other shoe was going to drop.
06:38 "Danny says he hears it's Larry Barese whose been talking." But was it Larry who first brought Willie Overall to their attention? If not, then who?
07:26 We don't know much about Willie Overall, but it would've been great to hear Tony discuss the issue with Dr. Melfi and delve further into his psyche that way.
09:01 Young Tony was shaky, but old Tony can now kill with his bare hands.
