Other than "The Center" from season 3, and "The Purse Snatcher" from season 5, which episodes do you think could have been used as spin-off's, or spin off introducers?



I think that:



"Alabamy Bound Pt II" from season 4 could have been a good idea for a spin-off introducer, or even a spin-off if worked the right way. For example: Mama Maybelle wants to get an apartment for herself, but when she goes to see Addy's mother at the bar she is at they decide to be roomates. Then we can all see the squabbling of Nell's Mother and Addy's mother on a whole new show!


I also think that Season 6 had a few good possibilities to spin off the show as well before it got cancelled:


"Littlefield": Think about it! After Sam is dropped off at College, have her get introduced to a few friends and roomates (sort of like facts of life style).


"Marty's" : I think season 6, overall, made a great impression for a spin-off involving Marty's restaraunt, re-naming it Marty's, or just saying that it's Marty's Place, instead of sticking to EL Gaspacio.


"Nell in New York": I think the 6th season should have been in a spin-off form, since the show really changed big time. all the episodes that took place in New York should have been part of a new show, and re-named, because Gimme A Break was over once the house in Glenlawn was sold.


Also, a few other possible Spin-Off ideas could have been...

"Katie and her new life": What happens to Katie when she makes it to San Fransisco

"Glenlawn Police": A whole new spin-off after Nell ,moves to NY, to keep with true Glenlawn tradiation which would star Howard Morton as the new Police Chief.
