Article on ABC news: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=2915866&page=1

Says people are leaving big cities and moving to rural areas, getting some acreage, etc.

Take the poll dues: Where would you want to live?

Anyone seeing what ABC talks about in their area?

Could this revitalise small towns or change the character of outlying rural areas?

Its interesting...

Rural areas are nice that they are peaceful, quiet, and little crime. 80 years ago in my area we had stores for furniture, food, businesses of mom and pop drug stores, department stores. In the next town over, in the1950's there were 10-15 places where you could buy shoes. Now in the same area there are 2. If I want to buy furniture I have to drive an hour each way and make my decison on the spot and probably on my own. Having a warm clerk to come out to help isn't there like it was. The time of yesteryear i will never seen again.

I would think one might get lonely if not many were around or feel wierd that no one is about...

Yes it makes ya sad thinking of the good days :(

I'm more of an urban dweller...I would never see myself in a suburb...unless it's an early suburb like Lakewood or Cleveland Heights since there's a lot of houses with charm.
