But then ended up revealing in a season 7 ep that his last name his Dallas which was short Dialiapolis. Wonder what was the reason behind given him a last name 4 years later? Was in the TC book?:lol:

I guess they needed a joke that followed from "I didn't know you were Greek" for that episode (Larry and his huge Greek family invade Jack's restaurant on Opening Night). It wouldn't work unless they gave him an Americanized version of the name that he had supposedly been using all along.

And the script needed it to be Greek for the plate breaking skit. Therefore Larry was given a Greek name.

Makes you wonder if they had given Larry a last name earlier in the series how they would have handled "Opening Night." I guess it would not have mattered because Larry says he altered his name to make it shorter.

I never really read the closing credits close enough to notice the name Bea Dallas. But it’s definitely there.
