I can't find any news on it, so I have my doubts.

I hope it's not true!

No way!!!! I went on some Dead or Alive site and it said as of November 18, she was alive.....is she dead?!?!?!?!

I did a Google search and it didn't come up with anything on her dying. Surely something would've come up since that was 2 days ago. Maybe someone over on TV Land boards is just trying to yank our chain. It's on the TV Land Happy Days message board under Marian Cunnigham facts.

Here's the link: http://www.tvland.com/boards/viewthread.jhtml?bID=84&tID=3153&mID=17260&offset=0

I hope it aint. She was only born in 1928. She's not too old. She's younger than my grandmother.

I looked at the New York Times obitiuaries and she's not there, but they only have people who died earlier in the week. So if Marion Ross did die, we won't know for a while.

Stormtracker TF

That's just plain mean to spread a rumor like that!! They should be ashamed!

If she died, I'm sure they would have mentioned something on the news. I highly doubt she's dead.

go to www.imdb.com and type in her name. If she's dead, it'll give a death year.

I want her to still be alive. I seriously doubt it's true cause on the Net, info gets out on the same day and this was 2 days ago with no substantial news. I think someone on that message board wanted to play a mean joke.

I Doubt its true or it would have been all over the news. Like the sad day last year when Carol O'Conner (Archie Bunker) died.

This just got me thinking. For most of us, all of these characters are gonna die within our lifetime. How are we gonna handle it when our favorite characters die? What'll happen when Henry Winkler dies? or Ron Howard? Will they get a simple paragraph in magazine, a eulogy written the night before by someone who claims to care and a small funeral? I know the guy who played Officer Kirk died and he's not that far off in age from Marion Ross and Tom Bosley. Now I'm getting depressed...

iluvfonzie

When Henry dies, I'll wear a black armband for a month!

I'm not asking about what we'll do externally to show our grief. What'll happen in our minds? I've never been through a close death before and as ridiculous as it sounds, Happy Days has almost been like a second family. It's like watching home videos. I don't think I could face reality if anyone died.

11-23-2002, 10:46 PM
Yeah, its weird. You dont actually know these people yet they feel like family. I Cried last year when Carol O'Conner died.

If I ever meet anyone from Happy Days, I'll thank them for giving me a family when mine's wasn't around.

When Carrol O'Conner died last year, I was pretty upset. All In The Family isnt my favorite TV show, but I watched it here and there. Its weird when you watch a show with someone who died.. you think theyre still alive. Like when I watch TBB and know Robert Reed is dead, or Elizabeth Montogery on Bewitched, etc...

Thankfully, most of the cast of Happy Days is young, but yeah.. Im only 18-- theyre not gonna be alive when Im like in my 80s. I dont know what Id do. Id cry I know that for sure. Id be depressed about it for the longest time.

Desi Arnaz died before I was born, but I fell for I Love Lucy long before I heard about his death. And it was horrible, I swear I can still hear him cursing in Spanish in my head.

ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY IS DEAD?!! When did that happen???

LucyFan
11-23-2002, 11:23 PM
Death is not something to be ashamed of. It is only the end of the beginning. Death takes us out from all of the evil, sadness, hatred amongst other things that are on this earth. Plus, the person who died will be in a safer place called Heaven if
(he/she believed).

I'm not that religious, but I do think a person who dies will be at peace when they die whether they go to Heaven or just die. But I can't help but be a little selfish and hope to keep them here.

That one is still a big surprise to me. I still can't believe he's dead. Well, in the sense Carroll O' Connor is dead at least with reruns he really isn't dead. I hope that made sense, but tv is such a crazy invention. A person could be dead, yet you still see em on the tv.

I'm not sure about it either, but 94 or 95 sounds about right to me.
