The one about himself going to be a great dad, was from teen magazine.
The one about keeping his Dad's name as a way to honor him that comes from Freddie Prinze Jr. by Victoria ? (I can't remember her last name but I first located the book on amazon.com bookstores. It's a good book. if you do read it the chapter about his Dad is called It's in the Genes.
