If I recall correctly, Our Miss Brooks ditched Mr. Boynton, and moved Conklin and Miss Brooks to a different school. This ditched the romantic relationship, such as it was, between Boynton and Miss Brooks. They brought Boynton back in mid-season, but it was too late.
