Best known for the song Slip Away that became his famous hit in soul music during the 60's it has been reported that Clarence Carter has died at the age of 90. He also had a hit with the fun Snatching It Back and was truly one of the pioneers of soul music. I knew little about Clarence Carter until I got a soul music album from Target and it happened to have Slip Away and Clarence Carter really did have an amazing sound
