When Jonathan Winters came on board for the fourth and final season, I imagine he didn't come cheap, so supporting and recurring cast members such as Jim Staahl, Crissy Wilzak were cut.

But Jay Thomas and Gina Hecht's characters, Remo & Jeanie DaVinci, who'd been there since season 2, were jettisoned without so much as a mention.

I have a theory: Remo and Jeanie were still there, running their restaurant, but we just never saw them. Their exploits happened off camera. After all, Mork and Mindy hardly mentioned them when it was just the two of them talking at Mindy's apartment.

Of course, their exit doesn't explain why they weren't at Mork and Mindy's wedding. They were close friends, so why weren't they there?
