I never really understood the opening faceoff fight logic. Why do both guys want to miss 25% of the first period of a playoff game?

I like the Las Vegas vs. Utah matchup. Sounds interesting. I'll check those games out if they're televised in my area.

Carolina and Colorado are the first two to advance. They’re probably the current favorites to meet in the Finals.

9 total shots on goal and they win game seven.

Second round matchups:

Montreal- Buffalo

Pittsburgh- Philadelphia

Minnesota- Colorado

Anaheim- Vegas

Carolina and Colorado are going to be tough to beat. You don't see too many 9-6 games in the playoffs like last night.

Canada's hopes for their first Stanley Cup since 1993 are still alive with Montreal advancing to face Buffalo.

An interesting trivia fact. An American-based Canadian Football League (CFL) team has won the Grey Cup more recently than a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup. The Baltimore Stallions won the Grey Cup in 1995.

We can always attempt to shove Buffalo a few miles northward if necessary.

I guess they are still rivals. It's a classic Adams Division battle. They haven't played against each other in the playoffs since 1998. I'm rooting for Buffalo.

AI Overview:
Montreal and Buffalo frequently played in the same NHL divisions from the mid-1970s to the early 2010s, most notably in the Adams Division (1974–1993) and later the Northeast Division (1993–2013). These matchups defined intense rivalry eras, including playoff series in 1973, 1975, 1983, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1993.

Montreal and Buffalo meet in Game 7 tonight to see who advances to probably get swept by Carolina in the next round. The Hurricanes will be very well rested against one of these exhausted teams.

11 days! My playoff beard has really grown since they last played.

Prediction for tonight. The opposite of game 1. This time Montreal jumps out to a quick early lead, which will prompt outcries of What happened to Carolina?

Then Carolina steamrolls them the rest of the game.

Two streaks continue

- Canada no Stanley Cup since 1993

- The Presidents Trophy winner (most points in regular season) hasn’t won the Cup since 2013 (Chicago)

Finals—— Vegas vs. Carolina. Starts Tuesday.

Tonight will be the first time I get to watch a playoff game live. Thanks to a free 3 week YouTubeTV trial I can watch the Stanley Cup and NBA finals.

Carolina hasn't really been tested. I was surprised Vegas swept Colorado. Vegas beat Carolina twice convincingly early in the season.

Home ice will be the difference. Carolina wins in 7 games. They will win the Stanley Cup 20 years after they won in 2006.

Heartbreaking loss for the Cardiac Canes. I think they have to start Brandon Bussi in Game 4. He played very well in relief.

Tough decision. Depending on the results, Brind'Amour‘s goalie choice is going to make him either a genius or an idiot.

I see both arguments. I personally would probably go back to Andersen.

The Vegas team seemed to have run out of gas after the double overtime win, and Carolina took over from there.

While it would have been better to see Carolina win on home ice in Game 7, you close it out when you have the opportunity.

Defense wins championships. Carolina allows very few shots. They totally stifled them in Game 7. Vegas did look out of gas the last few games. The momentum changed when they switched to Brandon Bussi.

I was rooting for Las Vegas cause I've been there alot. It's only an hour flight from LA. It seemed more my " Home team" than North Carolina , and I don't really follow hockey much , but I picked Vegas.

I was also hoping for Vegas, but Carolina was just the better team from the 4th game onwards. Vegas does have the Stanley Cup championship from 3 years ago in 2023.

You should do a 2025-26 season computer replay. See if Carolina wins again

Never should have hired him in the first place. Should have stayed with the coach they had.

Action PC Sports is a company that has sports simulation games for Windows computers. As far as I know, for the hockey game, most if not all NHL seasons are available.

As for me, I'm staying with the APBA DOS hockey game and the two seasons, 1974-75 and 75-76.
