did anyone notice it seemed radar was alot more mischivous in the early eps. i thought he was alot more funnier in the later eps i couldnt take him to much was a little to square.:)

I beleive what your referring to is the fact that over the course of the series the character of Radar O'Reilly was allowed to mature by the writers. This was the right thing to do as it is only normal for a young man in the middle of a war zone to grow up fast.:wave:

I think I liked Radar more in the earlier episodes, when he was quietly moving in the background, helping Hawkeye and Trapper with their various schemes, manipulating Henry with his army double talk, offering a few sublte wisecracks.

In the later seasons they did develop the character more, turning him into a sweet often naive Iowa farmboy, but at times I felt the "new" Radar often contradicted the old one. He went from a saavy teenage hustler to a virginal bumbler, which at times was pretty funny, but it went against what was first established about Radar.
