I' hate writers block..I had to write 3 reports due tommorow, and they took me about 5 hours each. I kept repeating one word over and over.
Warm & Fuzzy 11-20-2002, 10:50 PM Oh, that reminds me.. who else hates those journal entries teachers love to have students write? Those my friend, are the worst of the worst.

:o I had to write one yesterday about me living life in India in 1888.

Try doing it in Literary Criticism. I'd rather jog a mile.

ABlairican Pie 11-20-2002, 11:23 PM I've read that writer's block is basically insecurity over what to write, the feeling that your stuff won't be good enough. It's basically a fear of inadequacy.

Hey wow.. thats pretty interesting. I guess if you really think about it, its true because you do STRESS out SO much over it, trying to make it perfect. But, it doesnt apply to everything. Sometimes, you just need that one word that fits!

Gawd, I hated those. We had to do that in Writer's Workshop (the topics were interesting in that class) and in Humanities. Humanities was boring all the way around and the journal topics were just so boring. I always wrote like a paragraph about the actual subject and then my mind would start to wander and I would write about it in my journal.
I've done a bunch of 'fun' stories on my own. Let me tell ya, fun and school work are two entirely different things. I had such writers block for school assignments at times. The stuff they wanted me to write at school was the entire opposite of what I really wanted to write. When I'm at home and I'm writing a story just for fun that's when the writer's block ceases to exist. It's kind of difficult starting off, but when I get the first few sentences going than I'm fine. I could sit at this computer for hours writing stories.
Oh yeah, here's one weird thing about me. The next time you have writer's block- try this. I don't know how you guys are, but I can't write a story out on notebook paper. It doesn't come as freely through pen and paper. Type your stories on the computer. It's faster and easier and that's when I think of some of the weird stuff that I write about at.
