View Full Version : Who was the worst fake cryer? ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-20-2002, 08:55 PM Out of all the Brady's, whose fake crying was so bad it made you laugh in distgust? ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-20-2002, 08:59 PM I voted Marcia. All their crying abilities sucked LOl..but she takes the Gold. I mean.. when she was running for Greg for school--remember when she was in her room after she just flipped out on Alice? BOO HOOO HOO HOOO!!!:crying: BMOO MBOOO!! OHH MOM! *cries* I mean..UGh..how many 12 year olds cry like that?? LOl. Jan could be bad @ times too.. Shelley 11-20-2002, 09:50 PM I didn't vote. I think they all cry fine. TV Guy 11-20-2002, 11:38 PM Marcia's crying isn't all that bad, although it does grate on the nerves, just like real crying. Her fake laughing, however, is horrible. Listen to her laugh the next time you see the episode where Peter's volcano erupts on her and the Boosters Club. That fake laughing is like fingernails on a blackboard. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-21-2002, 03:31 AM Originally posted by TV Guy Marcia's crying isn't all that bad, although it does grate on the nerves, just like real crying. Adam the Great 11-21-2002, 11:30 AM I thought Alice's crying was a little annoying. She pouted a lot. She had real tears in "The Big Sprain", and Goodbye Alice Hello". but then she kind of pouted in "The Brady Sitters", "Tell It Like it Is", and the Christmas TV Movie "A Very Brady Christmas". I specifically remember the episode where she gets braces and stares at herself in the mirror:: 99% fako; but it's better than what I can do. ;) britt britt 11-23-2002, 06:33 PM I voted marcia her fake crying gets on my nerves.and her laugh.lol Montana Ponine 11-24-2002, 12:02 PM I actually thought Marcia cried pretty well...but maybe it's just me since I can't act at all. Elizabeth B. 12-31-2002, 12:35 AM On Marcia: Yeah, the "ugly, ugly, ugly!" thing was kind of fakey, but you have to admit she was pretty realistic in the "Juliet is the Sun" eppy when she cried out, "MOM!" after she got dumped from the play for being a know-it-all. Bobby......now THERE'S a faker! Remember when he came in crying because Cindy beat him out for something (crossing monitor?) He was like, "Wuh, huh. Wuh, huh, huh." Pu-LEEEEZE!!!" Janice 12-31-2002, 02:19 AM To be honest, I don't think any of the kids were even good actors which explains why their careers went nowhere. Their acting abilities were passable for The Brady Bunch, but that's about it. :seeya: *ducks for cover* Elizabeth B. 01-01-2003, 02:23 AM They were..."OK" actors, I guess. But how about other children on there, like the Brady kids' friends? They were the worst EVER!!!!!! Remember that girl "Linda" talking about her old home back in "See-AT-TLE." (that's how she pronounced it, with that hard T sound--drives me NUTS!!!) The other bad guest-star actor that comes to mind is that girl who played Peter's blind-date when he was "Phil Packer." (She was Greg's date's cousin.) Boy, that girl coudn't act her way out of a paper bag! Janice 01-01-2003, 02:25 AM Originally posted by Elizabeth B. OMG, that is hilarious, every time that episode comes on my brother and I start repeating Linda and saying See-AT-TLE along with her. It's kind of an inside joke with us. And if one of our parents says something about Seattle, my bro and I have to say See-AT-TLE, and I don't think my mom catches what the joke is, lol. I mean.. when she was running for Greg for school--remember when she was in her room after she just flipped out on Alice? Yeah! LOL, and remember in that same episode when she was at the podium in the living room giving her speech, and she started balling just because her bros were giving her "looks." Her first season crying was so horrendous that even her improvement in the Romen and Juliet one was not enough to save her. I voted for her. Marsha was really a mess in the first season. "I'M UGLY, UGLY UGLY. HOO HOO HOO HOO." (Sorry folks, my response is late. I'm a lil slow. Story of my life. ) Cashodeen 04-04-2003, 05:51 AM Originally posted by CrazyNewt OMG, that is hilarious, every time that episode comes on my brother and I start repeating Linda and saying See-AT-TLE along with her. LMAO, that's a funny story. Everytime I see that episode, I think, "We don't have accents like that in Washington State!" Heck, no accent like that exists on this planet. I was going to say that Linda couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, but since Elizabeth B. used it for what's-her-face, I don't want to steal it. ;) But I will say this, Linda probably goes down in history as the worst actress in the history of the world. What producer/directer of the show was she related to?! "See-AT-TLE." Pitooey 04-04-2003, 10:55 AM BOBBY.................. I've seen every BB ep at least once, and I can't remember when this Linda was on. Can someone please tell me? Thanks! jehobden 04-21-2003, 02:31 AM Marcia! Marcia! Marcia! Her obnoxious crying is why I refuse to watch Vote for Brady and Juliet Is the Sun now. Florence Henderson even mentioned on a recent retrospective about how melodramatic Maureen McCormick's crying was. Cashodeen 04-21-2003, 02:35 AM Originally posted by jehobden I've seen every BB ep at least once, and I can't remember when this Linda was on. Can someone please tell me? Thanks! Oh, you missed out because it's hysterical! Although not hysterical in the way you may be thinking. I have declared Linda officially the worst actress ever to hit the Brady Bunch set. The episode is in the first season, so it will be on TV Land pretty soon since they are on the first season episodes. Do you remember the episode where Greg has a thing for his math teacher. Well, I forget how, but Mrs. Brady finds out the name of the person he likes is Linda, and before she learned it was his teacher, he thought it was maybe the Linda Marsha just befriended. Linda was a new girl and sat on the Brady's couch while Carol probed her with a bunch of questions and she then spoke one of the sadest lines ever on the Brady Bunch (maybe ever sadder than when Carol said, "we don't even know Joe Namath, do we Mike?") Check out the episode. It will now be hard to miss Linda and her horrid speech patterns. SEA-ATT-LLE. LOL Cashodeen 04-21-2003, 02:45 AM Originally posted by jehobden Marcia! Marcia! Marcia! Florence Henderson even mentioned on a recent retrospective about how melodramatic Maureen McCormick's crying was. Okay, I take objection to that. Florence really has room to talk. Marsha may have been more obviously melodramatic in her crying than Florence, but does anyone remember Carol and her crying, such as in the episode where the boys and girls fight over the clubhouse? I think that episode will be on soon, or maybe it was just on today or yesterday. Anyways, her crying is pretty darn pathetic. "Oh Mike, I just don't think that's funny at all, booo hooo hoooooo." I don't have the quote exact, but that's pretty much how that crying fest went. What a baby. What was with the gals of this show during the first season? Talk about being whiny girly girls and preceived as fragile. Well, being preceived as fragile was well deserved. They acted like a bunch of moody babies who couldn't handle anything. A little more on the club house ep... the girls were so incompetent in building, that the boys laughed and laughed, and finally had to take over because Carol couldn't hammer her way out of a cardboard box. Then Mike says something like, "Us men are going to need some lemonade." OH BOY. The first season sure wasn't quite the sunshine days that we see in the next seasons. Sorry for the offtopic business. LOL. jehobden 04-21-2003, 02:46 AM Originally posted by Cashodeen The episode is in the first season, so it will be on TV Land pretty soon since they are on the first season episodes. I just didn't remember which ep. It was goofy! Thanks for your help. jehobden 04-21-2003, 02:50 AM I'm amazed that two people have voted for Peter, since he's the only Brady kid who never really cried on the show, unless you count his whining from "Confessions, Confessions". "Mom, I broke the vase...". That wasn't really crying w/ tears though, IMO. Cashodeen 04-21-2003, 02:58 AM Originally posted by jehobden I'm amazed that two people have voted for Peter, since he's the only Brady kid who never really cried on the show, unless you count his whining from "Confessions, Confessions". I'm sure the people that voted knew what they were doing, but just a quick guess would make me think they accidently voted for Peter but meant to vote for Bobby. The episode you mentioned is the only one I remember him even coming close to crying. I can't remember another one. Maybe when Tiger ran away? I just saw the episode where they think they have to get rid of Tiger because of Jan's allergy. I don't think he cried there. Bobby did a little. Greg almost did I think. I even remember Greg crying for real once when he blew a baseball game. Now this is driving me crazy. Did Peter ever really cry? Since you've seen every episode I bet you're remembering it right--that Peter never really cried. I've seen them all too, but my memory really sucks. I was just looking through all the posts again to see if anyone voted for Peter and explained why. I didn't find any, but I did find your old post about Marsha and her laughing, TV Guy. "like fingernails on a blackboard." Oh yes. lol. Just to pick on Marsha a little further here... can anyone believe some of the lines that come out of her mouth? I know, okay, so all of them lack in the acting department. But Marsha seemed to turn it up a notch, especially when the kids would all be talking at once. Sometimes I just listen to her and no one else while they are all exclaiming or chattering at once. The episode where Jan wants to be an only child is in the top five of her worst line deliveries ever. At the end when they are all talking at once to get Alice to do the sack races, you can just look at Marsha and she sounds like a nut. "OH COME ON IT'LL BE FUUUN!!" LOL. She's a kook. I will spare you all of some of her other "moments." With Marsha's crying, laughing, and goofy lines, she is always keeping it rolling with the corniness. LucyFan 04-21-2003, 10:06 PM Out of the six Brady kids, I have always thought Bobby was the fake cryer of the bunch as well as having a fake laugh. He totally annoys me because of those two things. I can't stand him. jehobden 04-21-2003, 11:50 PM Originally posted by Cashodeen Now this is driving me crazy. Did Peter ever really cry? Since you've seen every episode I bet you're remembering it right--that Peter never really cried. I've seen them all too, but my memory really sucks. Peter may have shed a tear or two when Tiger was being given away, as Bobby may have, but he never all-out cried in my memory. The only time I remember Bobby crying was at the end of Vote for Brady (that ep had a lot of bad crying, IMO). He was sobbing w/o saying anything, because he'd lost an election to Cindy. Greg wasn't sobbing, but he was sniffling and shedding tears in The Dropout, when he was pulled from the game, as you mentioned. The girls each cried in multiple episodes, Alice cried a lot in Goodbye Alice Hello, and Carol cried in A Clubhouse Is Not a Home. Mijada 04-22-2003, 06:51 PM Bobby also cried in the ep where he is trying to win a trophy. He wakes up from his dream and their are tears running down his face. jehobden 04-23-2003, 02:06 AM Originally posted by Mijada Bobby also cried in the ep where he is trying to win a trophy. He wakes up from his dream and their are tears running down his face. I don't remember those tears, but now I remember that Bobby was crying during his dream about Jesse James when his family was being shot. I remember thinking it was a really scary scene when I was a kid. SKay 12-11-2003, 11:31 AM I also had noticed that Peter was the only one who never cried--not even when no one showed up for his party! I would vote for Alice if she were a choice. Vegas Girl 12-11-2003, 07:07 PM Even before I read the posts, I saw that people voted for Peter, and I was going to say, "When did Peter ever cry?" He didn't. Jan only cried a couple times. The only time I remember Cindy crying is when Buddy Hinton was making fun of her. Those were real tears. The thing that struck me as funny in that scene was when the parents were trying to get her to tell them what was wrong, and she finally said "They said I talk funny", and Mike said "They said what?" He couldn't understand her either! SKay 12-20-2003, 12:02 AM I kinda take back what I said about Alice. I think that was the way the character was supposed to be--like Lucy in I Love Lucy. The worst acting I think is when Jan comes home from school on the day when Clark doesn't talk to her. "I'm sooo mad." Also at the very beginning of Jan the Only Child she's supposed to be mad at Peter for hogging the bathroom, but is smiling during their argument. Vegas Girl 12-21-2003, 11:11 AM I think Greg was the best actor of the kids. He did a good job and looked very natural in most of the episodes. IamGGFan 01-06-2004, 09:56 PM I don't know which one I would pick. It's a hard decision, maybe Marcia. I am not voting on this poll though.  junecleaver 01-10-2004, 01:58 PM Marcia no doubt! I wanted to smack him. What a baby for throwing everything down the stairs!  hawaii five-o 03-07-2004, 05:08 PM Peter never actually cried, but in the episode where he broke the vase, he gets a little whiney when he confesses to Mike and Carol.
