You guys are gonna get sick of me pretty soon I'm afraid.
I wonder what was Freddie's favorite song?
Did he like rock, jazz, pop, country hymns?
I wonder if he ever sang to little Freddie?
If he did,I wonder what he sang?

Joy, I was wondering that myself. Does anyone know what kind of music Freddie liked?

The only think I know for sure that he liked was Alice Cooper. Usually creative people like a wide variety of music. My guess is that he liked rock, dance music (he loved to go dancing) and probably Latin music such as Santana. I think I remember hearing somewhere that he may have liked Jimi Hendrix but I'm not for sure.
I don't know if he ever sang to Freddie Jr. but I know that he had a little name for him; he used to say that his son was so sweet that he called him "Pie". In the E! Hollywood story..if you look real close at the journal entry that he wrote after they talked about his arrest...you can see the names Cathy and Pie scrawled on the page.

Joy, this is a really interesting subject to think about. We never tire of hearing your thoughts. You have the best questions and topics to get us going.
I can just see Freddie Sr. singing to his son. I agree with Chicosladyfair that he probably liked a wide variety of music. On the occassions when he sang on CATM, I could tell he had a great voice. I think it is adorable that he nicknamed his son "PIE" because he was so sweet. Well, I think Freddie, Sr. qualifies for that nickname as well!
You guys got me to thinking and a darling song came to mind. (I think I've dedicated all my favorite love songs to him. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif)
I apologize, I don't know who to credit as the author of the song or the composer of the music. But it reminds me of how we feel about Freddie Sr.

You'll never know just how much I miss You.
You'll never know just how much I care.

If there is some other way I can prove that I love You,
I swear I just don't know how.

You'll never know, if You don't know now.(!)

I am glad you like it, but I cannot take the credit. I don't know who the composer is so it would not be right for me to add to someone else's work. I have been writing some poetry for Freddie but am afraid it is not good enough to post here or on the other sites.

Atlangel, please post them. We would love to read them, believe me they are good enough.

Thank-You Bella66. I hope it is okay. Let me know what all of you think. This is just one I wrote for "Our Prinze". The date of this one is 02/14/2001 (Valentine's Day) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I Want...

What do I want?
I want to cook your meals
I want to run your bath
I want to pay your bills
I want to be your other half.

I want to kiss away your tears
I want to hold you close
I want to allay your fears
I want your love the most.

I want the chance to please you
I want to conquer your heart
I want you never to be blue
I want us to never part.

Oh atlangel, that is so sweet! I admire anyone who can write with rhythm and rhyme, I never could! And your poem says it all, what we would all want to do for our Freddie.

We have alot of talented people on the Freddie board! I believe that the music of choice for our dear Freddie was Jazz music.

I read in his moms book where he sang in a rock group in high school called Mind, Soul, & Body & he also would try to play the drums along wmith Buddy Rich records & later wuld give hi a drum set which he later gave to a poor man who needed it. He must'bve liked the 60's & 70's rock & soul & a few other stuff too. He must've liked Latino music too cuz he is dancing to some Latino Music in a CATM episode...

Wow, Freddie was in to Alice Cooper. Pretty cool. Of course, in my book, Freddie was pretty cool. And you know, call me silly, but sometimes I kind of think Freddie resembled Jimmy Hendrix just a little. I was watching a Behind The Music special on JH and I could see a little something there. I know --- just call me silly!

In the CATM with the little old ladies in it (garage doesn't pass inspection & hood ornament gets sold) Freddie says that Alice Cooper is coming to Town & one of the old ladies asks who she is & the other says that she plays with the Cleveland Symphony. ROTFL!

Freddie is waaay cuter than Jimi Hendryx! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I'll change the words of his song Foxy Lady to Foxy Freddie. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

Atlangel, those lyrics were so sweet! He so much needed TLC like that, I fear that he didn't get much....

I could see him getting into Alice Cooper--he liked "edgy stuff" like that. I was into Alice, too! He combined rock 'n roll with raw, shocking halloween fun. I think Freddie liked to shock people at times, for the fun of it...
