In the ep Alex moves in, I thought he was going to show up at the door since they said he ran away. Not already be inside the apt without Ann and Barbara knowing he was there lol I wasnt surprised he was beat up in school lol Then he brings ann breakfast in bed and sits in her bed and starts eating the food. That was a strange boy

The airport episode was funny as hell. Schneider loved himself some young ladies. Then Barbara never asked the guy in the airport where he lived before she started falling in love and kissing him lol

I was surprised she fell for him he was kind of a dork. Bob was cooler than him.

Then the girl flirting with alex and he showed no interest and then all of a sudden wanted to talk to her. But like Barb he should have asked if she lived in Indy before he started buying gifts

Schneider was the only one who had success because those women were local and worked at the airport

The first ep with Francine is the first ODAAT ep to give me a attitude. No way in hell should have been involved with sneaky ass francine. And how did Bob just show up out of nowhere at ann's office? No episode leading up to that?

And Alex seemed to already know Bob like he met him in a previous episode

AND you marry him right there AT the same wedding , the marriage isn't exactly starting out on a real solid foundation, it's bound to have lots of drama .:lol:

I’ll defend Barbara against almost anything, but I can’t defend her here.

My thinking is they really needed the audience to like Mark, and seven years in Barbara had enough love from the audience to overlook this one thing.

Now I see things differently here guys. I guess being I'm a woman. I thought Mark came across a little creepy ! Taking Barbara all across the state for a great cup of coffee . If he was that annoyed with her he should have just ended the date ! He went into it knowing she was already seeing that guy named Jack. So , I kind of feel Mark overreacted when she wanted to get back home to get to her other date . At
the time she planned the date with Mark , she didn't know Jack would be back from school early.

I think what the writers had in mind was to show Barbara's "
other side" , stringing two guys along . When in the previous episode she asks" Am I dull"? Referring to Julie as always being the bad girl. So , they made⁰ a fun episode having

Barbara be kind of edgy !

As much as I don't like Alex, it was sad that he didn't get to meet Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.:( And he was even wearing a Lakers T shirt in the beginning of the episode.

The camera never zoomed in on the black guy face for me to see if he was on another show. And my man Bob, made the episode funny as hell when they was in the storage room. I thought it was really funny. I loved when that organ was brought it and Schneider was playing it to make the Grandma's jealous of each other drama even more dramatic.

Yeah, Grandma Cooper looked almost like she could be Barbara's Great Grandma more than just Grandma. Not so much in the face, but the old hair dos and old clothing styles , (Grandma Romano too), made women look so much older back in the day than older women now. I'm probably not that much younger than them and my hair and clothing don't look old. Glad it's not like that anymore.

Very funny episode all around ! In the beginning when Ann was hiding under the counter and Barbara's boss made the excuse to send her out to mail something and she kept coming back and he was pushing Ann back down. :D

And them all sitting there wearing big party hats as they were being held hostage in the store room.

IDK. I kind of agree with Grandma Romano, maybe eating some good birthday cake would take a really bad, scary situation a little better ?

Another one of the reasons why this episode was good was because Alex WASN'T in it ! I guess he was supposed to be visiting his Mom? He wasn't in Gift horses either , it was nice having a break from him.

Also really it was strange Mark wasn't there for Barbara's surprise birthday party , being he was her new boyfriend!

Thats why I was thinking maybe it was a season 6 ep since we dont see Mark or Alex

didnt like Gift Horses at all, not as bad as No so Silent partner. It was one funny moment when Barbara asked Schneider has he ever been in between 2 grandmoms and he had to pause and think for a min:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Grandmom cooper also played chrissy snow mother. She looked old enough to be her grandmom

But , a fun episode I thought. :)

That was a good episode. Ann basically had a breakdown. She seems to not take her birthday too well. This time turning 40. And it seemed selfish of her how she acted regarding Barbara's engagement. Mark's a nice guy, and Julie married with a baby on the way. Ann has a good job , family and friends . But on the other hand feeling life is going to fast, like a midlife crisis. It was nice of Schneider to look after her after she was out running around in freezing rain.

That was funny when Grandma decked Schneider thinking he was trying to have hanky panky with Ann when she was in Schneiders bed.

That was a good episode too. No, that is the last time we see the con man. Wow, Francine ratting out her own Father ! But good she was looking out for Ann's Mom's well being.

The con man angle fit Francine though. I guess the underlying point of the episode was to show why Francine was the way she was, pulling all the previous cons and scams on Ann. Runs in the family.

Well ..... It is pretty far fetched . I remember that first exam from a gyno . Mine was late 70's , so not that much earlier from early 80's. Doubt it would be that advanced within a couple years. When you first go on the pill you generally get a full exam " down there". If you don't go in complaining of
pain or problems with your period they don't get that detailed . Barbara being diagnosed with endometriosis ( with no pain or heavy bleeding) and to be told right off the bat she probably wouldn't ever be able to become pregnant is pretty absurd ! Trust me as a woman on this !

But it showed just how much Mark really loved her against these odds, so I guess that's what they were going for.

Two more season 7 episodes for Mack, except I just noticed my schedule says Antenna is skipping one of them, which is episode 23.

And Bonnie’s gonna be mad , because it’s the third talent show that has Max and Julie’s duet.

It was another show at the retirement home. Julie and Max did a song, dance number , singing " Love and marriage" , a Frank Sinatra song. It was cute, Julie was very pregnant at this point. Sad, that they are skipping this episode. I wonder why?

For you that’s a 10 in the morning start but I guess you’re used to things like that out there.

Yeah. We are used to it out here ! Same as in football. The games start at 10 AM. Still drinking coffee at that time. Too early for beer .:D

So ! Bad start for the Sixers today ! :(

This show has some weird ass endings. I thought maybe he was going to tell ann he only saw her as a friend and he like francine

Yeah, that was far-fetched! Max was young, in good shape and good health. Very unlikely he would pull his back out that bad just by showing the correct way to swing a baseball bat . And for his back to be

that bad for days!

Did you think that kid Frankie with the glasses was a girl at first? We did ( Opus and I) first time we watched this.

Does anyone else feel Hardball is another pre-Mark episode? Not season 6, because Alex is already living there, but originally meant to run earlier in season 7. Alex tries to get Barbara to coach with the promise of cute guys, which for a second interests her. Doesn’t feel like she’s engaged.

And in the opening conversation between Barbara and Max it doesn’t sound like Julie is pregnant.

Frankie rules. “First baseman Alex Handris charges the ball, he scoops it up……no, he kicks it”

I still occasionally say that when the Yankees make an error.
