I'm from Australia, recently for whatever reason the broadcast networks here have decided to put watermarks of their network logo on the right hand corner of the screen.

I noticed the U.S also does this and was wondering when they started doing this, and how many other countries are doing the same thing.

NBC had an Olympic watermark in 1996 and maybe even their regular peacock logo even before that, so it's been happening for awhile now.

I don't know why they do that, but all of the cable networks seem to have a logo too not just the broadcast networks.
