By "butterfly effect", I mean on the series and the real world as well.

From a real-world perspective, what exactly happens to Woody Harrison in an alternate timeline where Nicolas Colasanto lives and doesn't open up a spot for him on Cheers? Does he ever get his big break? Or was he destined for stardom and would have found another way?

As for the series itself, does Shelley Long still leave after Season 5 had Nick lived? According to many sources, Nick was really, Shelly's only friend in the cast. So, if he is still there, does she make a different decision.

While we're at it, how long does Kelsey Grammer last on the show as Fraiser Crane with Nicolas Colasanto still around? If Woody Harrelson is not there to be his comedy partner, do people overlook Fraiser as the former third wheel in Sam and Diane's relationship and accept him as one of their gang? In Woody Harrelson's first season as Woody Boyd, Fraiser is still just a recurring character and not in the opening credits. Does he get that promotion to series regular if Woody is not there?
