Cheryl Harrell 06-07-2001, 01:38 AM Here goes. Save a picture of Freddie on your puter-- right click on the pic save as etc. Go to my computer & desktop theme in Windows 98. Click on desktop themes I think it is & switch your desktop theme to the 1960's. Using this theme is not only cool but allows you to use your wallpaper as a desktop theme. Now once you have installed the 1960's desktop theme, right click on your desktop screen to bring up properties. Click on the thing to change your wall paper & change it to the pic of Freddie-- I think you click on IE wallper or either browse & browse for it on your puter. Now you click on under properties scheen saver & change it to IE wallpeper... There ya go. Wallpaper of Freddie & it becomes your screen saver... There is a nice wallpaper of him on a Wallpapers by Dani Site. Don't have the urrl handy but it's listed on the CATM club on YAHOO. Good luck! Karen64 06-10-2001, 12:40 PM Hey, Cheryl-this is really cool! I was able to make a Freddie screen saver! I cruised around the web sites, found my favorite pic of him, right clicked, set as wallpater, and put it on the "60's" screen saver. At first, the big bouncing ball was distorting his face, and well, I couldn't have that, so I changed the size and speed of the ball. I love my new screen saver! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Cheryl Harrell 06-10-2001, 10:34 PM If I remmeber right, there is a thing you can go into in the 60's desktop theme to trun off that bouncing ball thing & make it normal. You can try that & have a normal Freddie. I don't have a Freddie theme for my puter cuz I wanted to use a Monkees Desktop theme but wanted a pic of my friend Arlo as the wallpaper. So I am currently using the Monkees Desktop theme with the Peace sign icon from the 60's theme used for the MY COMPUTER icon like it is in the 60's desktop theme. The Monkees icon for MY COMPUTER is used in place of another icon. & I used an Arlo picture as my Wallpaper. & Some Freddie pics are my Icons & I downloaded some free screensaver thing to use as my screen saver & used it to make a Freddie screen saver with a bunch of rotating pics of it. If you want to get the trademark taken off the screensaver tho you have to buy it. So I put up with ther trademark thing on it. I hodgepodge for sure but has a buynch of my favorites all paid tribute to... [This message has been edited by Cheryl Harrell (edited 06-10-2001).] |
