CollegeGirl 11-20-2002, 03:19 PM Would anyone like to take turns writing a HD fanfic piece. One person writes a paragraph and then leaves it for someone else to add to. We can see how long we can keep it going and see how interesting it gets.
I'll start.
Fonzie was sitting at Arnold's with two gorgeous women on each side of him. He was pretending to listen to them, but his mind was elsewhere. He couldn't shake the odd feeling that something major was about to happen....something that could change Milwaukee history forever. But, everything seemed to be in order. Al's food was just as disgusting as ever. The local teens were all hanging out at Arnold's after school, just as they always did. Fonzie decided to just ignore the feeling for the time being. He rationalizeded that there was nothing he could do by worrying, and that he'd rather be enjoying the beautiful girls surrounding him. He watched Bridgette. Her eyes sparkled as she talked. Bridgette's eyes locked with his and suddenly she fell silent. He slowly leaned in toward her. He could smell the heavenly fragrance of her perfume. Her lips were full and moist. Just as he was about to kiss her, a boy bursted through the doors!
"Quick!! Someone help! There's trouble!!"
Now.....what do you think will happen??
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-20-2002, 08:41 PM Fonzie jumped up, sending Bridgette crashing to the floor. Fonzie ran over as fast as he could. It was Ralph. Ralph had fear in his eyes, and this scared Fonzie. Bridgette then proceeded to get up with the help from the other girl, Wanda. Everyone looked to Ralph puzzled, and wanted to know what was wrong.
"What is it, Malph?" Fonzie squealed.
"Its..its.."
:eek:
CollegeGirl 11-21-2002, 12:13 AM Fonzie looked Ralph dead in his eyes, "Will you just spit it out?"
Ralph took a deep breath. "Fonzie, it's Darlene! She's in trouble....." Fonzie grabbed Ralph by his shirt collar...."What kind of trouble? Where is she?"
It had been practically a year since Fonzie and Darlene had separated. For a while, Darlene was all Fonzie could think about. He couldn't escape the pain that enveloped him since they parted. For a while, she was like the oxygen he breathed-- without her, he often wondered if he would just suffocate and die. Sure, he dated other women. But, in the back of his mind, he compared every other woman to Darlene and they all fell short. But, Fonzie managed to pull himself together finally. He started being able to sleep throughout the night without waking up every hour to lift weights or do crunches (his so-called therapy to help ease the pain). Then, he made it an entire day without dwelling on her.....that day turned into a week...then he managed to make it through several weeks at a time. At last, he thought he had finally gotten her out of his system, but now, as Ralph stood here telling him that she was in trouble, the floodgates of his soul opened back up and all his emotions came pouring back into his mind. Darlene was in trouble. She needed him. And Fonzie was not a man to let anyone down....especially not a chick...and former love.
"Malph!" Fonzie repeated through clenched teeth....."What is wrong with Darlene?!"
Ralph swallowed hard. His stomach was doing flip-flops until it managed to climb up into his throat. "Well....."Ralph answered. He was stalling. He hated being the bearer or bad news....or at least to Fonzie. Fonzie had a temper worse than anyone in the area. Ralph began to sweat. He was afraid Fonzie would hit him. He clenched his fists together and held his breath as he answered Fonzie's question.
~~~~~~~~~~********************~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, I'm at a blank. I can't think of anything bad enough to cause a big panic. BTW, Darlene is a character I just added to the plot. I started out making her be Heather, but then decided to cut her out because I thought more people would prefer to have the story in an earlier season. None of Fonzie's other gf's seemed to fit.....and this way, YOU get to decide which season...
:cool:
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-21-2002, 01:23 AM The anticipation was killing Fonzie, inside and out. It was ripping his heart apart in every direction. He knew, that what he was about to find out, would have an effect on him for the rest of his life. Ralph, not wanting everyone to hear the news, told Fonzie hed tell him in his *office*. Fonzie rested his hands on the sink and looked into the mirror. Sweat was starting to form and his heart raced a mile a minute. He cooled off his face, and had Ralph tell him. He wanted to know so badly, yet he wish Ralph had never mentioned it. Right when he was just about over Darlene, something like this has to happen.
"Ok Ralph, Im ready," Fonzie managed to say through clenched teeth.
"Ok, Fonz..now I dont know how to tell you this.. but uh, Darlene. She has been pregnant for about 2 months now. Thats the first half. The second half, is that she got into a car accident today. Its looking pretty bad. She got hit by a teen drag racing. Im sorry Fonz." Ralph was relieved, but felt hurt for Fonzie.
Fonzie just stood there, staring straight ahead. He was expressionless. Then, he burst out the door and out of Arnolds. He hopped on his bike and just took off...
CollegeGirl 11-21-2002, 01:53 AM Wow!! The plot is getting GOOD!!
~~~~~******~~~~~~~~~~***********~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ralph walked back out of the men's restroom, only to find Richie and Potsie sitting in a booth. He approached them and informed them of the news.
"That's awful!" Potsie blurted out.
Richie was worried about Darlene, but even more worried about Fonzie. He knew too well how poorly Fonzie took bad news. "How did Fonz act, Ralph?" he asked.
Ralph replied, "Not good, Rich. He was quiet-- TOO quiet. He just stormed out, jumped on his bike, and rode off. I'm afraid of what he might do."
The three of them sat in silence, worrying.
Fonz felt the cold wind beat against his body as he rode his bike across town. But, it made no difference to him. Fonz had one thing on his mind. He would go see Darlene and then seek revenge on whoever had done this to her. "Malph said it was just a teen dragging," Fonz reaasured himself, "No one would do this on purpose." But, a burning sensation on the back of his neck made Fonzie suspicious. He kept driving. It seemed like it was taking forever to get to the hospital. As he drove, he replayed Ralph's words in his mind. His heart longed to see Darlene again. Yet, at the same time he dreaded having to see her. He knew that it had been torture to get over her the first time. If he went to see her and those old feelings returned, he wasn't so sure that he could survive through a second break up. But, his determination won over. Darlene was hurt. Fonz knew he had to be with her.

To Fonzie, it was if he was driving in slow motion. He noticed everything he passed by, yet he never seemed to reach the hospital. Finally, on that last stretch of highway, he made it to his destiny. He parked without looking and jumped off his bike. He stood, staring at the building, wondering which floor Darlene was on..wondering if he could see her. As he walked in that first entrance, he saw a giftshop. He pondered whether or not to get her a gift. He wanted it to be perfect. Something that showed her that he still loved her, but also something that would show that he was acceptable of them just being friends. Ten minutes later, he picked out the most beautiful bouqet of pink roses and a stuffed cat with a balloon. He then walked over to the desk. The receptionist seemed occupied and didnt seem to notice Fonzie standing there, with a glare in his eyes.
"May I help you?" The receptionist said sighing, as if he were bothering her.
"Uhh..yes. Im looking for a Darlene Swanby."
"Hold on." The reception then looked into the files.
"Im sorry sir. We have no record of a Darlene Swanby at this hospital."

:eek: Uh-oh....
Fonz clenched his teeth. "Look lady," he snarled, "My friend is hurt. She needs me. I KNOW that she is here. Now, unless you want to see me get ugly, you're going to need to find out which room she is in!" Fonz even shocked himself with his rudeness. But, he was desperate. He didn't know what kind of condition Darlene was in. Thoughts of her lying in a hospital bed kept running through his head. She was probably lonely and scared. She was probably confused. He hoped that she was still alive.
The woman eyed him incredulously....."Sir, I'm afraid there is nothing I can do to help you."
Fonz, "You have a registration log there, don't you?"
The woman replied, "Yes, but...."
Fonz, "Just look in the book and see if you have a young woman admitted today for being hit by a car. She was pregnant. She has red hair. She's in her mid 20's. She's approximately 120 pounds, 5'6". "
The woman searched her log. "We do have a young woman that fits that description. But, she's not registered under that name. She's listed as Sharon Winfield."
Fonz, "What room?"
Woman, "Room 237"
The Fonz dashed off toward the room as soon as the woman said the room number. "But, Sir! Wait! You can't...." the woman called after him, but it was too late. Fonzie could no longer hear her. Honestly, it would not have mattered any way. There was no way anyone or anything could have kept him away from Darlene.
As Fonzie neared Darlene's room, he felt his pulse quicken. What would he say to her? They had not seen each other in a year and suddenly he shows up at her hospital room? Would she welcome his visit? He remembered that they had not exactly had the best breakup. He had lost his temper in an argument and stormed out on her. He had found out that her ex-fiance was back in town and she had not told him. Fonzie decided to expect the worst, and imagined that she was seeing her ex behind his back. Darlene had tried to explain, but Fonzie never gave her a chance to. He took a breath and entered the room.
To his surprise, there sat Mr. Cunningham on a chair beside Darlene's bed. Howard was holding an unconscious Darlene's hand. Fonzie stood there for several minutes watching them before Mr. C even realized anyone else was there. As Mr. C turned around, he saw Fonz standing in the doorway. Their eyes met. Howard had been crying. So had Fonzie.
"How is she?" Fonzie asked.
"I'm not sure," Howard answered, "I just got here a few minutes ago, myself."
Fonzie stood wondering why Howard was sitting in Darlene's room holding her hand, but didn't think it was appropriate to ask right then. But, as if reading his mind, Howard began to explain.
"Darlene was engaged to Chuck," Howard said, "Before he disappeared."

:lol: Before or after he was shoved into the closet?? LOL. As soon as I saw Chuck, I busted a gut.:lol: Notice the "before he diseappeared". Ha..that was before it made breaking news! LOl
Fonzie couldnt understand the words coming out of Howards mouth. Fonzie, was in complete shock. He took a step back and almost fainted. He felt dizzy.. he just couldnt accept the fact that Darlene, once the love of his life was engaged to his best friends brother. All of these emotions poured into his head like a freight train. He wanted answers. And he wanted them now.
"What do--do- you m-m-mean?" Fonzie managed to stumble out.
"Fonzie, why dont you sit down and Ill explain the whole story to you."
Fonzie was hesitant, but then quicjly grabbed a seat. He expected the worst and knew he could handle everything.
"It was about two years ago, Fonzie," Howard explained. "Chuck met her through a friend. They hit it off and were an item from the get-go. They went everywhere together. He really loved her. But then, he left. He left for the summer and we didnt hear anything about him. Darlene was worried, because he had proposed to her that previous May. In about October, Chuck returned. He didnt look the same though. His freckles were gone, and his hair was now a light brown. When Darlene saw him, she was confused. The love that they had originally had, vanished. It was never the same for them. They kept in touch, and remained close friends, but then she met someone."
"Me?" Fonzie asked, nervously.
"Yes, Fonzie, you. She still talked to Chuck, but we were beginning to see less and less of her. When you brought her home that night for dinner.. Chuck lost it. He took off. We still dont know where he is."
"So what else happened? I need to know," Fonzie demanded.

OOoohhh...I like how you explained the part about Chuck changing into "another person"! I have to go to a class, but as soon as I get a chance I'm going to write more on this. I WANTED to add the closet event to this but realized as soon as I did no one would be able to survive through the rest of it. *LOL* I had to put SOMETHING clever in there....I was remembering part of the Jerry Springer messages and wondered if Mr. C would be having an affair with Darlene....naaahhhh, no one would buy that. :happyface :crazy:

CollegeGirl 11-21-2002, 07:04 PM "Fonz," Howard explained, "This is a very traumatic event for the entire family. Marion was so heartbroken at Chuck's final disappearance that she totally cut herself off from any memory of him. That is why we never mention his name. It's just too hard for her. We keep his memory in our hearts, though. We have always wondered where he is. Or even if he is still alive. We never wanted Chuck to leave. Had we had the slightest hint that he was going to, we would have stopped him. We loved and cared for him. We never locked him up or forced him to do anything he didn't want to. We loved him like he WAS our son, but......"
Fonz's eyebrow raised. "But?"
Howard sighed. Fonz could tell he was on the verge of crying. He placed his hand on Howard's shoulder in an attempt to comfort him.
Howard continued, "Fonz, Chuck wasn't our real son. You see, I had a sister. She was such a fabulous and beautiful person. But, she was killed one night in an automobile wreck. In her will, she asked that Marion and I care for Chuck. Everyone thought Chuck was our own son, even Richie and Joanie. He came to us when he was three years old. We loved him like we loved Richie and Joanie, and we thought we did a pretty good job at raising him. But, Chuck had so many issues and he hid them from us. We didn't find out until after he disappeared that he had a drug problem. Just think about it, all that time under our own noses. And we never knew. What kind of parents were we, Fonz? To not even see that such a horrible thing was happening?" Howard hid his face in his hands. He was sobbing now.
Fonz attempted to cheer his friend up, "Mr. C, you can't blame yourselves. You are wonderful parents! Look how you took me in and raised me..." That made both Fonz and Howard chuckle. It was a reoccuring joke that the Cunninghams had raised Fonz because they had had such a powerfully positive influence on him.
Just then, Marion and Joanie walked into the hospital room. They were still wearing their coats and hats. The four of them looked at each other. Marion put her hand over her mouth as she began to cry. Howard walked over to her and they held each other. Joanie also started to cry as she sat down beside Fonzie. Fonzie pulled her in toward him and let her cry on his shoulder. Then a nurse came in to check Darlene's stats, filled out something on a sheet of paper, and left the room just as quietly as she entered.
Fonz, looked up at the Cunninghams. "Just one question. Why didn't you ever say anything about this before? You knew I was dating her, yet you all acted like you never even knew each other. That doesn't make sense."
"Fonzie," Howard answered, "We all decided that it was for the best. It had been so long since Chuck's disappearance. We had finally managed to overcome the hurt inside us. To tell you all about our past would have meant dragging those feelings back up. We never meant to hurt you."
Fonzie was hurt, though. He just discovered that this woman-- his former love-- had a history he had never known. And the Cunninghams, his own adopted family, had been lying to him. He could feel his blood boil. He was getting angry. He began to pace back and forth.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-22-2002, 12:45 AM Thats when, Fonzie exploded. He threw open the door and walked out. Emotions were running through his body like lightning, and he questioned why he even came down here. What was the purpose? What they had was gone, and worse, what was before..is no more. Fonzie was crushed. Who could he trust when he couldnt even trust his own family?
"Fonzie!" Howard yelled out to him, but it was too late. Fonzie was out the doors and jumping back onto his bike.
Howard turned to Marion and sighed. Joanie sat by Darlene and held her hand and cried. Howard hugged Marion and told her he loved her. They know knew, nothing would be the same..
Fonzie had driven back to the Cunninghams and rushed into the front door. Richie was sitting on the couch watching TV, unknown to ANYTHING thats happened. Fonzie, assuming Richie knew what had happened pulled him up and swung back his hand ready throw a punch...
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-22-2002, 12:50 AM Marion was so heartbroken at Chuck's final disappearance that she totally cut herself off from any memory of him. That is why we never mention his name. It's just too hard for her. We keep his memory in our hearts, though. We have always wondered where he is. Or even if he is still alive. We never wanted Chuck to leave. Had we had the slightest hint that we was going to, we would have stopped him. We loved and cared for him. We never locked him up or forced him to do anything he didn't want to. We loved him like he WAS our son, but......
HAHAHA. That whole scene just brings me back to the one word: CLOSET!
But, Chuck had so many issues and he hid them from us. We didn't find out until after he disappeared that he had a drug problem. Just think about it, all that time under our own noses.
LOL..Drugs..noses.:crazy:
"Fonzie," Howard answered, "We all decided that it was for the best. It had been so long since Chuck's disappearance.
*Disappearance* mustve been used very loosely for them! LOL :D
CollegeGirl 11-22-2002, 11:56 AM Richie gasped. "Fonzie! I'll confess! Yes, I borrowed your wrench yesterday. I had to fix my bike. But I didn't know it would make you this upset!"
Fonzie made a face. "Wrench?! You think this is about a wrench?" Fonzie let go of his friend. "Richie, don't you understand? Your family has been lying to me for years!"
Richie looked at him strangely. He pondered Fonzie's statement. "We have? Hmmmmm......," he replied, "Well, I guess you're right. We don't get along as well as we make people think. Joanie and I are always at it. She's ALWAYS hogging the bathroom. And I actually don't make my bed every morning...Oh, you're right, Fonz, I do deserve to be punched." Richie braced himself for the blow, but Fonzie just stared at him. "Cunningham!" Fonzie screamed, "Why would I care whether or not you make your bed? Or who hogs the bathroom? I have my own bathroom! Don't you get it?" Richie was confused. He had absolutely no idea what Fonzie was trying to say. So, after a few minutes, Fonzie confessed, "Red, Darlene was engaged to Chuck. Remember?" Richie thought for a moment. "Oh yeah! You're right! She was," he answered. Fonz continued, "And no one bothered to tell me about that. Don't you think it's sort of important for best friends to tell the other if one of them is dating the other's brother's ex-fiance?"
"Well, no...." Richie answered.
Fonz drew his breath and prepared to hit Richie once again. "No?! NO?! What do you mean, no??"
"Well, Fonz, " Rich said, "That was an awfully long time ago. Chuck's been gone for years with no trace of where he could be. And the family promised Darlene that we wouldn't tell you. We all know how jealous and competitive you can get."
"Cunnningham," Fonz reminded him, "You're not being very successful at convincing me not to hit you!"
"Look, Fonz, " Richie repeated, "There was no reason to tell you. That was a long time ago. Chuck was no where around."
"He wasn't then, " Fonzie told his friend, "But he is now..."
"What?"
"Didn't I speak in English? Did my words get lost on their way to your ears? I said Chuck is back in town."
"Hahaha....good one, Fonz. There's no way he's back in town. He disappeared. I would know if my own brother were in town."
"No you wouldn't"
Richie raises an eyebrow. "You mean he IS in town? When did you find that out? Where is he?"
"Well, I haven't exactly seen him yet"
"What do you mean? Then someone you know saw him?"
"Not exactly"
Richie drew in a breath. "Then someone you don't know saw him?"
"No"
"Fonz, how do you know he's back in town, then?"
"I just know. It's just a feeling."
Richies started to laugh. "You have a 'feeling' that he's back in town? Hahaha..."
Fonzie snapped his fingers. "Are you questioning my feelings?"
"Well, it's just that feelings can be so speculative. They're not concrete. I mean, a strong gut feeling could just be indigestion."
"You're saying I have indigestion?"
"No, I would never say that. Well, you might....I don't know. But, that's not the point I was trying to make."
"Cunningham!"
"Yes, Fonz?"
"Will you just shut up and trust me?"
"Sure, Fonz."
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-24-2002, 04:23 AM Fonzie dragged Richie to Arnolds, where Ralph & Potsie sat at the booth still puzzled. Ralph and Potsie agreed not to mention Darlene around Fonzie because they dont want to upset him again. Fonzie said hi and asked what was new.
"Hey Fonzie! Darlene just called! Uh! I mean Diane!" Potsie said with a smile, then suddenly realizing what he said put his head down.
"Potsie!" Ralph whispered loudly. "Thats not exactly avoiding the subject!"
"I couldnt help it! I was put right on the spot!"
Ralph rolled his eyes in shame. "You are such a Potsie!"
"Boys, it is Ok." Fonzie reassured. Even though he said this, Richie and he knew it wasnt alright. Fonzie was hurt and his heart was empty. No one could understand the feelings eating him inside. Just then, Fonzie announced that he wasnt feeling well and needed to go right away. Richie tried to talk him into staying, but Fonzie didnt want to be sitting near Richie at that moment. At that time, Fonzie trusted no one with the last name Cunningham. Within a minute, Fonzie was on his bike and headed for the other side of Milwaukee. When he reached Knapp Street, he got off his bike and entered the building. He reached inside and continued down to the basement. He knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Laverne yelled.
"Its me Fonzie."
"Oh gee, Shirl. Fonzie doesnt sound the same. I wonder what coulda happened." Laverne said to Shirley trying to be quite.
"Hmm..I dunno."
"I know! Hes breaking off my date for next Tuesday. I knew it." Laverne then threw her magazine in the air and got the door.
"Whats wrong Fonzie?" Shirley asked, worried. His face was pale and his hair was not perfect. Both girls knew something was bothing him.
CollegeGirl 11-26-2002, 06:39 PM This is getting SO good! I can't think of a new segment to write yet, though. I've been pulling a lot more hours at work and it seems all the residents are trying to kill each other...ugghhhh *rhe* it gets so stressing. I so can totally emphasize with how Joanie felt while teaching at Gearge S. Patton Vocational High School. If you picture that school, you've got a close idea of where I work. *L* I do like my job, though. Because, while it's frustrating and exhausting, it's also very rewarding. I spent the entire morning breaking up fights, and keeping students from killing each other, but this afternoon we went to the library and I got to help students choose books and encourage them to read.
Feel free to skip me and write more. Because even though I can't write right now, I still am having a ball reading all the fanfic pieces that have been posted lately.
CollegeGirl 11-28-2002, 05:48 PM "He's here..." Fonzie said while walking straight past Laverne and Shirley.
"Who's here?" Laverne asked, following him. Laverne and Shirley started looking around the apartment. "We really don't think anyone is hiding in our apartment, Fonzie," the girls replied in unison.
"Not here, Girls," Fonzie explained, "here."
"Oh, well, we're so glad you explained that to us, Fonz," Laverne said sarcastically. "Now would you mind telling us what you are talking about....*Fonzie shot her a look*.....uhhhh.....exactly."
Fonzie had the look of a madman in his eyes. Obviously, something was upsetting him, but the girls were not having any luck budging it out of him. "Can I talk to ya over here for a minute, Shirl?" Laverne asked her friend. Laverne and Shirley walked over to the other side of the room.
"Laverne, I think something is really bothering Fonzie. I've never seen him act like this." Shirley warned her friend.
"I know, and it's beginning to scare me. I always thought Fonzie would be the last person we know to go crazy." Laverne added.
Just then, Fonz snapped his fingers. "Girls," he shouted, "Will you get over here? I'm trying to talk to you!" Laverne and Shirley returned to the table where Fonzie was sitting.
"Now, there is a new man in town. Actually, he isn't new, it's just that he's been away and he just came back. I'm looking for him."
"Who is he?" Shirley asked.
"His name is Chuck. Chuck Cunningham. He's Richie Cunningham's older brother." Fonzie answered.
Laverne and Shirley stared at him. "Ughh....tall with brownish hair?" Laverne asked. "Yes!" Fonzie said quickly, "You've seen him?" "Nope!" Laverne answered just as quickly. Shirley elbowed her friend in the ribs. "You have too, Laverne. He's that really cute guy that you brought home last night." Fonzie watched them as he waited for an explanation. "Shirl, has it wrong, Fonz," Laverne explained. "I told her about a dream I had last night. I brought home this really cute guy with brownish hair and his name was Chuck Cunningham. It was....uughh....just a dream. That's it. Just a dream."
Fonzie asked, "You had a dream about a guy named Chuck Cunningham? How did you know his name?"
Laverne answered, "He told me. In the dream, that is...."
Fonzie asked, "What happened in the dream? Why did you dream about a guy named Chuck Cunningham?"
Laverne answerd, "Uhh....I don't know Fonz. I'm always having weird dreams. You know me. It's all that milk and pepsi I drink before bedtime. But, nothing much happened in the dream. He just brought me home and we talked. He told me that his name was Chuck Cunningham."
Fonzie thought for a few seconds. "Girls," Fonzie warned them. "I'd better not find out that you're trying to pull one over on the Fonz! But, if you say it's just a dream, I'll leave it at that. If you do happen to run into him again, tell him that the Fonz is looking for him."
Laverne, "Sure Fonz. But, I'm sure I won't. My dreams are always funny like that. I rarely meet the same man two nights in a row."
Fonzie kissed the girls goodbye, then took off out the door. Shirley looked at Laverne and asked, "Laverne, why did you tell Fonzie that was a dream?" Laverne answered, "Because I've got a bad feeling about this, Shirl." The two stared at each other worriedly.
