Hey everyone...how was part two? Did anyone cry? I'm getting this topic out early because I feel like hearing what people have to think before I watch it in 2 hours and 40 minutes...OPINIONS? How many stars out of 10?

I didn't cry but it made me sad :( I like how the writers can make the show dramatic but really funny at the same time
especially with the "A talking hospital that would be cool!"

The Episode reminded me a little of ER. The shots going down the hospital hall and everything...I agree!

Yeah....it was quite good. It really however didn't have a lead-in to a Part 3. It almost seemed as though they wanted you to think that the parts were over.

This also could be a good time for David Hyde Pierce to think about episode submitting when it comes time for the emmys next year. If he were to hand in one of these episodes, he could pick it up.

Maybe Niles will have a relapse of something. The Title of the episode is "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" So maybe something happens with him and daphne?

DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART
11/26/02

NILES DECIDES TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSIES -- After surviving his recent life crisis, Niles (David Hyde Pierce) is ready to broaden his world and live life to the fullest -- forcing his new life lessons on friends and family. However, his newfound outlook drives Frasier (Kelsey Grmmer) crazy, as he made an 11th hour pact with God over Niles’ health, vowing never to enter into petty squabbles with his brother in exchange for a positive outcome. Meanwhile, Niles continues to put off a frustrated Daphne (Jane Leeves) who is attempting to renew their physical relationship. Peri Gilpin and John Mahoney also star.

Was a partly right?

Guess I'm alone again here. I thought it was very awkward.

Not sure if they weren't going for laughs intentionally or what, but the script--on the humor side--was weak (Young Frasier says "I don't like him" to baby Niles and the crowd erupts. Right).

The flashback scenes were mishandled. They were so short and choppy, and the Roz one had me thinking the woman next to Roz was somebody else! Finally I'm like "That's Roz!". Same actor in the same shot is confusing.

Oh, man, but the capper was Daphne with the fire extinguisher. COME ON! People get emotional but that was dumb.

Sadly, I was at work when it aired. Does anybody mind giving me a brief rundown of what I missed?

Fraze, I'm just disappointed in the last couple of years. The first few seasons this show was my "appointment tv" kinda show. It was so smart and sharp, now it's....ugh. Same with Friends. Both are sagging toward their ends IMHO.

Does anyone feel that they are hinting that Daphne is pregnant? I wonder....

Roz and Daphne are talking to Niles. They go through a few cards and then Roz talks to Niles.Frasier enters.Frasier and the others talk.Martin enters Martin calls Niles a "lazy bones" and to "Get out of bed" (It's Martin's way of dealing with being sad) they talk some more and then the doctor comes in.Frasier insults him and he tells everybody to leave but first they put Niles on drugs and he says some silly things ("I wonder what the hospital would say if it could talk") Now everybody is in the waiting room.Martin wants something from the snack machine but doesn't have change. He asks everybody if they have change but no one does so Roz decides to ask this Collean nurse woman for change. We see a flashback that Roz had already met Collean when Allie was a baby. Then she gives Martin the money but he sees that there's a marathon bar in the machine but he was going to get a chunky so for like 5 minutes he's like "Should I get the chunky or the marathon bar.I haven't had one of those in ages".Then Daphne comes with the fire extinguisher and breaks the machine open and takes out a chunky.I would have preferred it if he chose the marathon bar. Then Daphne breaks down crying and we see some more flashbacks (Niles being born,Martin finding out his wife is dying, etc.) then everybody goes to see Niles.Daphne cries some more and then leaves. There's silence for like 5 minutes and then we see a room and in it is Daphne,Niles, their son or daughter (I couldn't make it out) and Niles and Daphne's newborn daughter.Niles says to the older kid "Say hello to your new sister" (Just like Martin said to Frasier when Niles was born only with Sister instead of Brother) and then she walks on and they cut to the credits. That's about it.It kind of hints that Daphne is pregnant which is why they had 2 kids and not just 1.

I think showing that clip was their way of getting people to keep watching...so you find out if she is or if she isn't

I definitely saw that as foreshadowing a Daphne pregnancy. It's bound to happen sooner or later. Most likely sooner.

But, hey! Every good sitcom needs a baby, right? I mean "Friends" has become centered around Emma. *gag*

Truthfully, I'd much rather see Niles and Daphne have a baby then Ross and Rachel?? The Friends pregnancy was awkward and misplaced... a Niphe kid would make sense.
