S1E18 Child Care

Was Puddin too young to be cared for by the 2 boys regarding her use of Mary Jane (the toilet) ?

Gabrielle des Enfants was born in 1953 so she was 5 years old +-

YOu mean could she complete the task all on her own?

Good point. Although she was wearing a dress so she didn't have too many steps.

I would have been a little doubtful as a parent.

Good post. Interesting.

For the 2 Cleaver boys Benji being a little boy is way different than a little girl in the bathroom

If she didn't need any help using the restroom, what would be the concern? I had male babysitters.
Not as young as the Cleaver boys, but...

If Ward and June were always asking the question in later episodes, "Who's going to stay with the boys?", how could they be expected to deal with a five year old? Mary Jane or anything.

Good point too. If you can't watch yourself, how can you watch others.

So with chucky and Benji, they don't watch them for very long did they?

How long was Puddins parents suppose to be gone?

Beaver didn't have charge of Chucky for very long (taking him to a shoe store at the insistence of his presumptuous mother, who technically delegated the task to Wally) , but all the kid, around 5, had to do was hide under a chair in the shoe store and Beaver lost him.

Considering poor Beaver’s inability to locate the precocious Chucky in that department store, I think that it’s pretty safe to say that a future career as either a police detective with the Mayfield Police Department or specifically as the US Navy SEAL directly charged with locating and terminating Osama bin Laden was not in the Beaver’s future.

How was it that the Fire Dept used ladders to get the kids out of the bathroom, when Wally tried the window was jammed ?

Puddin was very cute floating the shoe in the sink and putting toiletries in the shoe floating !
