"'birds of prey' grounded by the wb"

Various industry sources confirmed yesterday that the WB has told Warner Bros. Television it will not be ordering any episodes of "Birds of Prey" beyond its initial 13 episode order. The series, which premiered to a stellar 7.6 million viewers last month, has seen its audience evaporate to literally half that amount in just six weeks on the air, barely above the comparable episode of "Felicity" last season. Currently the drama is set to film its 10th episode however producers are considering scrapping production in order to save costs. New episodes are set to bow this Wednesday and Nov. 27 with the remaining filmed episode airing some time in December. No replacement for the series has been named however action drama "The Black Sash" and reality series "High School Reunion" are the frontrunners.

"the wb cuts 'do over,' 'family affair' orders"

With the news breaking that "Grounded for Life" will be joining the WB in late February, the Frog network is doing some cost cutting to make room for the comedy. Two freshman laffers - "Do Over" and "Family Affair" - have seen their season orders rolled back to 19 episodes each. The WB says it still remains committed to both shows however as each will get a four-to-six week showcase early next year elsewhere on the schedule.

It figures they would cancel a good show and replace it with a reality show.

Just curious but has The WB ever made an official statement themselves on Birds of Prey being canceled? Because a cast member on BOP say it isn't canceled yet and even Zap2it says WB hasn't made an official word considering Birds of Preys fate. Would you know anything besides what other news sources say about BOP? Thanks!
