This is one of the better episodes IMHO but its still written horribly. James falls for a young female painter. James insists that Jack should hang her art in his restaurant. When Jack tells Vicki this her response is happy because her father is lonely. When Vicki finds out how much younger the woman is she wants to break them up so her father does not get hurt. Of course she makes Jack do it which he is not successful doing. In the end Vicki goes over to confront the woman to break them up. She discovers the young painter was already going to ditch her father for a younger man. Vicki then throws a glass of water at the young painter because she fears the break up will hurt her father.

Now does this make any sense? Vicki is happy her lonely father is seeing someone. Then she is concerned the woman is too young for him and he will get hurt. She has Jack try to break them up. Then she goes over to do the same. However they don't need broken up because the young painter is seeing another man. You would think her problem was solved. Would not her father be more upset finding out that his own daughter broke them up rather than her finding a younger man?

All this drama over nothing.
