what do you think ?
brooha 08-14-2003, 01:19 AM Well, as a member of the doenetwork, I will submit it and see what happens.
CrushedVelvet 08-14-2003, 09:41 AM Im confused....was Cheryl Ann Commesso the one and same as "Suzanne"? If so then her true identity has been discovered and she was never a kidnap vitim, right? Please explain......thanks:)
brooha 08-14-2003, 09:55 AM Actually, Davis and Commesso aren't the same person.
browserhead 08-14-2003, 03:03 PM Hi Sorry don't mean to be rude but here is the story line as I've IMAGINED it .
Our critter flyod kidnaps two little blonde sisters.
He does his thingy and photos it and them them
critter knocks off the older blonde girl who probably fought more, the younger blonde (Suzzan) "falls in line for the next 20 years"
When the younger one is with child in the late 80's (not critters)
critter does in Ms Comesso and photos it ( bad habit ?)
now maybe the younger MS (blonde) Suzzan knows about this and is willing or threatening to tell
so critter runs over her Suzzan in a car, hit and run in Kanasas ?
Critter than sells his old pickup and acidentally leaves his photos in it .
Critter then kidnaps and tells his sister that he killed and buried Suzzan's little boy in someone elses grave, (old mafia trick?)
Critter
Boasts loudly to his sister about this last act (she disowns him and tells)
The misplaced ? photos in the pickup are found by the new owner.
The photos are given to the police who have evidence on critter for the Ms Comesso affair
critter is now on death row in florida
did this happen like this ?
lovely story no ???
brooha 08-15-2003, 03:55 PM Anything is possible. Truth is often stranger than fiction.
Starbright726 08-16-2003, 05:54 PM I first read about this case on the Doe Network some time ago and was immediately fascinated with it. Naturally I taped the UM segment once it came on and have read everything else I could find on the internet about it.
Browserhead, what makes you think Suzanne had an older sister that Franklin Floyd also kidnapped? Is it just a gut feeling?
I've always felt really bad for Suzanne, kidnapped (most likely scenario), raised from state-to-state while being molested, then murdered by the same man when she obviously became an inconvenience. Knowing he was a career criminal, she probably lived in poverty, too. And now her son has most likely been murdered. It seems that her hubsand has complete power over her even beyond HER death. She never had a chance to be normal and happy. Does anyone else have information about her?
Starbright726 08-16-2003, 06:01 PM Suzanne Davis/Tonya Hughes and Cheryl Ann Comesso were two completely different people. Comesso was an exotic dancer from Florida with long brunette hair and NOT an orphan. Her family was quoted in the press after Franklin Floyd was convicted in her murder. Suzanne Davis had lighter hair, raised by Franklin Floyd (her nautral parents are unknown), and was probably a few years older than Comesso. I have seen pictures of both girls and they looked nothing alike. I hope that helps.
brooha 08-16-2003, 11:20 PM Frankly I've often wondered if Suzanne WAS his Floyd's daughter.
Could he have imprisoned a woman and killed her after she gave birth?
Or could he have imprisoned a pregnant woman off the street?
So many questions.
browserhead 08-17-2003, 04:13 PM Hi
when I looked at this back in november the only case with the right time line for a disapearance with the right hair color
seemed to be this case
http://www.angelfire.com/mi3/mpccn/klyon.html
they were 2 sister's who were kidnaped at about the right time.
Floyd may have been in that area.
Have you heard of the girl who was a prisoner for 8 years under this guys bed?
she was so used to living there that she gave up all though to freedom.
I am speculating that if he did in killed the older sister the younger one would stay "in line" and be controled by floyd.
he doesn't seem like the kind to help anyone but himself.
did he have a family or raise kids I don't know
from his record and that of the missing lyon twins it may be possible.... they disappeared without a trace in the mid 70's
in fact her son may have hidden the photos and floyd demamded them from suzzane who would not know were they were.
floyd having sold his truck , accused suzzane and killed her for nothing !!
but true is stranger than fiction and I've only skimmed across the this case not knowing all the details....... which must be many and much more intracate...
Starbright726 08-18-2003, 07:03 PM Browserhead, you have a very sound theory. Perhaps if Suzanne Davis could be exhumed a DNA test could be done and compared to the Lyon's family DNA? A forensics test was done to prove that Suzanne was not the natural daughter of Franklin Floyd, so maybe they still have that evidence in some lab.
Brooha, that is another possible theory(pregnant woman killed for her baby), especially since it seems ANYTHING goes in this case. I wonder if anyone has ever claimed that Suzanne might be their long-lost family member? It's strange that after all these years and exposure, no one has.
In this article(from venus.soci.niu.edu/~archives/ABOLISH/ rick-halperin/feb03/0332.html ) is Franklin Floyd's upbringing in his own words:
**Franklin Delano Floyd blames state prosecutors for framing him with
murder. He blames a judge for helping them. He sometimes blames his
attorneys for not listening to him.
After he spent an hour testifying on Tuesday about his troubled youth
that included alcoholic parents and sexual abuse at an orphanage, a
prosecutor asked Floyd if an awful childhood was to blame for his life of
crime.
This time, Floyd didn't blame anyone at all.
"I've been a criminal for 50 years, and I take full responsibility for my
background," he said. "Nobody had a gun to my head."
A jury deliberated for just over an hour on Tuesday before recommending
to a Pinellas-Pasco circuit judge that Floyd be executed for the 1989
killing of an 18-year-old Brandon dancer, Cheryl Ann Commesso, whose body
was dumped off Interstate 275.
Floyd, 59, who has been prone to angry outbursts throughout his 9-day
trial, exhibited no anger as the jury's decision was announced by a court
clerk. Seven bailiffs ringed the courtroom, expecting his usual tantrum.
A jury had convicted Floyd of 1st-degree murder Friday. He didn't testify
during his trial. But Floyd took the stand Tuesday during the penalty
phase of his trial.
Floyd testified about a troubled childhood. He said both his parents were
alcoholics. His father died while Floyd was still an infant, and his
mother abandoned him in an orphanage and rarely visited.
In the orphanage, other boys sexually abused him, Floyd said. He said the
continuing abuse finally led him to renounce God. He recalled shaking his
fist at the heavens until, he said, a lightning bolt struck and split a
nearby oak tree.
Floyd wasn't impressed. "I didn't even take that as a sign," he said.
Later, he said, he was sexually abused in prison. Floyd said he has 19
felony convictions dating back to the early 1960s, from child molestation
to bank robbery and kidnapping. He is serving nine consecutive life terms
in Oklahoma for two unrelated kidnappings and assaults.
When pressed by prosecutor Glenn Martin, Floyd acknowledged he had made
many bad choices in his life and accepted responsibility for many, though
not all, of his crimes.***
The following link has a picture of Comesso, note she looks nothing like Davis:

browserhead 08-19-2003, 01:21 PM Indeed if we could all blame someone or something for our decisions,
yet many people have lived through events such as slave and labour camps,
men , women and children that have never decided to become one with those who commited acts of such vile disgust or even murder
How many such individuals who lived thru death camps have become serial killers of their own free will?
some even found a supreme being in their sufferings and sacrificed their own lives for others .........
were they stronger than you or me .. I don't think so
these are the true heros , people of their own freewill who have chosen to do good and not hide behind the mask of
"others made me do it"
free will is a responsibility and a duty to act with respect to others just in accordance with .... or above one's own needs.
It is not a feign to do------whats good for me cause its easy.
:talk:
blah blah blah..................
Starbright726 08-23-2003, 05:12 PM I know exactly where you're coming from, for I was sort of a foster kid myself, but am now about as squeaky-clean as they come.
Anyhoo, if you find any more information about this case, please don't hesitate to put it here like you did with the link to the correctional site, because I am following the developments closely. Thanks. :D
Tendervittles 06-30-2004, 11:24 PM There's about an estimated 5 year age difference between the girls, but then again they never have been exactly sure about Suzanne's/Tonya's real age.
If it was a case of him murdering the mother after she gave birth, you'd think that girl's family would wonder where their missing daughter (suzanne's/tonya's mother) is?
I'm also baffled, as I've said on other threads, as to why Michael's real father has never come forward?
There is computer software that can take the photographs of the two girls, make them 3-D, rotate them and compare facial features.
They do bear a strange resemblance to each other.
I guess what reaches out to me is how utterly sad that little girl looks in the photo, she looks like she wants to burst into tears.
In an article I read about the testimony of Floyd's sister, one of her stories says that Floyd had Michael in a hotel room after he'd taken him from his foster parents, that he tried something, and Michael refused and fought back. In a fit of rage, Floyd killed him by drowning him and then buried him like that other poster said.
I wonder how this guy can sleep with himself at night. All anyone can hope for is that he gets an attack of conscience on his deathbed and tells what he did to get her, and what he did with Michael.
They both deserve that.
sallytrue22 07-24-2004, 10:53 PM I'm new, so hello to all. The reason for the note is that I work in publishing in New York and just read the advance for a new book called A Beautiful Child and it is astonishing!
Gripping, tragic, sad, heartwrending..it's all of these and more. I never heard of Franklin Floyd before this book and can't tell you all how emotionally spent I am reading about the poor girl he raised as his daughter. She had several names, Sharon, Tonya and Suzanne. She was incredible!
I looked up Mr. Floyd on the Internet and found this site. I'm still shaking after reading this book and implore all to find it.
The author is Matt Birkbeck and it comes out in September.
crystaldawn 07-26-2004, 11:49 AM Hi! Thanks for the heads up on the book coming out! This is such a fascinating, and tragic, story and I've searched before to see if there was any books written on the subject. I look forward to reading it!
Dallas Links 10-06-2004, 10:50 PM Has anyone else bought and read the book? If so, what are the more interesting revelations in it? I'd like to read it myself and will try to get it soon but some spoilers will do for now.
crystaldawn 10-07-2004, 12:02 PM I haven't read the book, but plan to buy it soon. I came across an interesting website where there was a message board and the author of the book "A Beautiful Child" would also post things. They have gotten a few leads on who "Suzanne" could have been and are doing DNA testing. Here are there pictures:
http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/1208dfut.html
http://doenetwork.us/cases/670dfon.html
They both bear a strong resemblance to "Suzanne" especially Cheryl Ann Hanson, in my opinion. Maybe this book coming out and all the attention its getting, will lead to finding out her true identity.
kadrmas15 10-20-2007, 12:44 AM I am not a supporter of the death penalty but I must say if there was an ideal candidate for it, Floyd would be it. As someone mentioned earlier, he was convicted of first degree murder back in 2002 for a 1989 homicide that occurred in Florida and he was sentenced to death and is currently on Florida's death row. Floyd is also the prime suspect in two murders in Oklahoma and a murder in Georgia although he has never been charged in any of those other cases. Floyd is now 63 years old.

While I agree, in fact, I'd love to pull the switch, I cannot imagine putting him to death, when I still hope he will slip or do a turnabout and reveal something about who Sharon was.
ididn'tdoit 10-25-2007, 05:14 PM Well I basically agree with both of you kamy and kadrmas, but since child molestors aren't exactly popular in prison to say the least I think he would probably suffer more spending the rest of his life behind bars than to just be "put to sleep".
Orgazmo 11-21-2010, 06:23 AM Just saw this segment on him again and was happy to find him on fl death row. This is one sick person. He likely kidnapped both Suzanne and Michael and would likely be involved in their deaths.
