"Marshals" Lands Early Renewal for Season 2 at CBS
by Peter White
March 12, 2026
Kayce Dutton has received an early call to fight more crime after "Marshals" was renewed for a second season.
CBS has picked up the "Yellowstone" spinoff after only two episodes. It’s extremely rare for the network to renew a show after only two weeks.
The premiere episode became the most-watched network original series premiere without a football lead in since 2017 when "Young Sheldon" premiered.
In live+same day ratings from Nielsen, the premiere drew 9.52M viewers, making it the top new series premiere of the ‘25/’26 broadcast season. These numbers grew over its first seven days to total 20.6M multiplatform viewers for its premiere on March 1.
